They are the hearts of Veilspuns and the heart of Wispwillow Grove, "beautiful, magical and mysterious."

3. How does the Wispwillow appear to those who encounter it?
Silvery-blue in color; perhaps iridescent with the way it shimmers and glows.

4. What does the Wispwillow smell like?
Ozone and petrichor. It smells like the rain before a storm-- maybe like the fog that follows after that leads it to bloom.

5. Write a small summary about the entry regarding the Wispwillow/write some more details about the Wispwillow (+1 raffle ticket)
The Wispwillow bleeds it's color when soaked, as if the fog and mist was leaking out of it. They paint silver smoke in the water as they drift by.

I do! Not only is it just pretty to look at, according to the Encyclopedia:
"Their favored tactics are to enthrall their foes with their hypnotizing wingbeats and mesmerizing dance of their manes. Hypnotized foes can be puppeteered into battle so long as the Veilspun who enthralled them remains in their peripheral vision."
They are vital not only for survival, but for the Veilspun to defend themselves against any other dragons by using others as a puppet.

The Flowervail

What is the Flowervail flower known for?
The Flowervail, seen as a grand rarity, is known as the source of magic for the Veilspuns to grow their long, glorious manes.

What color are the petals of the Flowervail?
Flowervail petals are a gentle, pastel yellow, soft as an avian hatchling under the morning sunlight.

Where is the Flowervail said to thrive?
It thrives only in specific conditions, loving vast, serene meadows free and peaceful from prying eyes aside from the Veilspuns themselves - or so I've been told, at least!

What makes the Flowervail a rare flower?
Nobody is really sure where to find it - between its highly specified growing requirements and its rather cryptic historical records, not much is known about the Flowervail at all.

Do you think the power of the Flowervail is useful to the Veilspuns?
While it is rumored to be the source of their lovely mane, I believe this is but a fable in and of itself. Veilspuns originally hailing from the Wispwillow Grove would have had to travel quite a distance to find suitable meadows for the flower's growth, and with how ingrained the movement patterns of their manes are into their culture is, I do not believe it makes sense for the Flowervail alone to be the source of their manes. Of course though, I as the author am a dragon covered in fur that grew without the aid of a flower, so I'm sure my perspective is biased!

"Their favored tactics are to enthrall their foes with their hypnotizing wingbeats and mesmerizing dance of their manes."
The Flowervail aiding in the growth of their manes would be beneficial to their combat tactics! Beside that, I think a flower holding such importance to the Veilspuns make them useful as a beloved thing ^ ^

The Tangled Wood.

3. What benefit does the Snarlvine provide for the Veilspuns?
It seems to be a sentient flower, as Veilspuns utilize the Snarlvine for camouflage and protection in the Tangled Wood. The sentience is attached to the idea and observations of Snarlvine thorns growing frequently in places Veilspuns visit.

4. Why do people try to harvest Snarlvine?
The thorns are surprisingly durable and resilient, thought to be a very good substitute or even material for armor.

5. Can you think of a way to safely harvest the Snarlvine? (+1 extra raffle ticket)
By attaching a metal rod to a bolt of wool (so the thorns have something tactile to "grab" onto), one can "trick" the Snarlvine into grabbing the wool covered end of the metal rod. Once firmly constricted around the end, one can use extended arm garden cutters reinforced several times over to not shatter once force is applied in an attempt to harvest.

The Snarlvine

What is the Snarlvine?
Snarlvine is, unlike its name suggests, is a flower. It has long, dark, twisting vines covered in sharp thorns, and the loveliest indigo petals. It is known to create walls of thorns with the way it spreads, leading to near impenetrable barriers.

Where is it found?
Native to the Tangled Wood, Snarlvine grows best in full shade, in places where light doesn't dare to dapple through the trees.

What benefit does the Snarlvine provide for the Veilspuns?
Snarlvine is a form of protection for the Veilspuns, as it, seemingly in sync with the Veilspuns themselves, has a tendency to grow towards areas where Veilspuns flock, blocking the path for other dragon breeds.

Why do people try to harvest Snarlvine?
There's an attempt to make resilient armor from the thorns, as they are incredibly difficult to break, making it a renewable armor that, at the same time, is difficult to break or pierce.

Can you think of a way to safely harvest the Snarlvine?
To harvest Snarlvine, it is incredibly important to stay away from the vines. If given the opportunity to, they will lace around you and slice you with their thorns. The only hopeful way to harvest Snarlvines is to harvest the thorns from young shoots whose vines have not had the opportunity to grow very long yet.
