Absolutely normie choice, [i]agaricus bisporus[/i], which apparently in English is (cultivated) mushroom/button mushroom/etc. (might be identifying info but not much?) It is the most commonly produced mushroom on several mushroom farms near to where I currently live, so they're very common, easy to get and relatively cheap most of the year. I would definitely not go foraging for things to eat (unless I was accompanied by a pro) because I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. But it was super fun and I really enjoyed scouring the forests for these funny looking friends. It was so autumnal and most of my trips were in the good company of my partner making awesome memories. We discovered a whole new forest near to our city, and I will for sure go foraging again next year!
