Premise
I've been wondering how exactly the color distribution of a breeding pair would look. As such, I decided to run an experiment while also trying to get as many color combinations as possible.I will be breeding several dragons whose colors are on opposite sides of the color wheel, and recording every single color combination I get, as well as how many repeats there are. While it's not entirely feasible to breed every color combination, I'd like to record as many as I can.
RULES
1. All parents are to be XXX with the same breeding cooldown to ensure randomness and consistency in breeding.2. All hatchlings are to be named RAINBOW and exalted ASAP to prevent accidental sale and possible future scatter scrolling.
3. IDK. those are I could think of lol
90 Day Observation
While there are certainly outliers, of the 62 dragons I've hatched thus far, I've noticed colors are not *truly* random, but tend to gravitate towards the center of the available colors. There also seems to be some weighting towards greens (Spruce-Olive) compared to other color groups, even when green is at the end of the available colors. More observation is necessary.
Closing Observation
After almost half a year of observing the patterns of these dragons' progeny, I have decided to call it quits. My previous observation still stands, but I have some observations to add;Browns (Cinnamon-Copper) are heavily weighted, and Greens (Spruce-Olive) are a close second. This holds true even when "browns" and "greens" are at the edges of the possible color outcomes, though their prominence noticeably effected by the "bell curve". This can also be observed within Predict Morphology, with brown and green often being present with the random scry that appears when you open it directly from the Scrying Workshop, though this is simply a superficial observation that has yet to be tested.
All colors will be organized by their order in the color wheel
For example:
Maize/Maize/Maize
Maize/Maize/Cream
Maize/Cream/Maize
Maize/Cream/Cream
Cream/Maize/Maize
Cream/Maize/Cream
Cream/Cream/Maize
Cream/Cream/Cream
Note to self: Mantis is the half way point.
