Gardening is a very slow process. No matter how rewarding it may be, everyone gets impatient every once in a while, even Addavar. Addavar especially gets antsy with his gardens this close to harvest time. Every day for the past week he’s thought “Today might be the day”, and every day he has been faced with disappointment. He walks towards his garden a bit apprehensively, preparing himself for the disappointment of plants that are so close but not quite ready. To his absolute delight, his cherished plants are finally ready for harvest and he harvests them happily.

Angler had always been alone, ever since her creation. As soon as the tunnels were excavated, she left to try and make her way in the world. This usually serves her quite well, but sometimes she hears of the bond others of her species are developing and can’t help but be a bit jealous. With a sigh, she looks back into the water, resuming her fishing.

Thunk, thunk, thunk. Primrose loosed three arrows in rapid succession. She surveyed the tree she was using for target practice with a critical eye. Her whiskers twitched and her ears turned towards her back as she heard a branch snap somewhere behind her. In one quick, fluid movement she turned around, an arrow already nocked in her bow.
“Calm down Prim,” Drone drawled.
Primrose rolled her eyes, her whiskers twitching again. “Don’t tell me to calm down. You know I don’t like when you sneak up behind me like that.”

As normal, the kitchen was in absolute chaos. There were many orders that needed to go out that day, and they were starting to fall behind. Cheesecake was in a panic and barking out orders left and right.
“Chip, stoke that fire and make sure that cake isn’t burning.”
“Yes, Dad. I have my eye on that cake. You’ve asked me to check it three times now. What you should really be worrying about are those cookies that you haven’t touched in a while.”
Cheesecake’s eyes went wide with alarm and he rushed over to the fire where he left the cookies.
“Oh, wait. I already took them off the heat. My bad,” Chip said with a laugh.
Shaking his head slightly, Cheesecake turned his attention back to the cake he was decorating, chuckling slightly.

Chip was a little hatchling alone in the world. He did his best to stay away from other dragons, but sometimes the fish wouldn’t bite so he’d have to steal food. He lived this way for a while, and was content to stay that way. Then he got caught in a kitchen. Of course everyone came to clean up while he was still in there.

Caspian sighed softly as he examined his canvas. Something about it just isn’t quite right, but he can’t seem to figure it out. Furrowing his brow in frustration, he moves closer to his reference to examine the details. With one final sigh, he decides he needs a break. Maybe coming back later with a fresh pair of eyes will help him figure out what his painting is missing.

Nova shook her head as she watched a Mirror hatchling zoom past her, a Pearlcatcher’s pearl clutched in its claws. She swiftly stops him and bends down to his eye level.
“Does that belong to you?” she asks him.
“No,” he replies, eyes cast to the ground.
“So let's give it back to its owner then.” Nova follows the little Mirror to a far corner of the nursery where a young Pearlcatcher is sitting sniffling quietly. The young Pearlcatcher looks to Nova and the Mirror hatchling as they approach. Looking down at the hatchling at her side, Nova says, “Now give it back and apologize.”
“I’m sorry I took your pearl,” the Mirror says.
The Pearlcatcher tentatively takes back its pearl and gives a small smile. Nova gives the two a smile of her own and leaves them to continue playing, confident the two will be able to get along going forward.
