Her egg had fallen into a cauldron with various other things, and sparked by magic, became a patchwork of various bits and bobs. A little insect here, a little mushroom there, some goop and fabric. I find it sad to see “the beast” hiding from their self behind a mask. To feel unacceptable in unloved by a society not worth their time.
I always ask my friends what would be a useless super power. (I.e knowing every time a leaf falls from an oak tree.) so I think a silly curse would be something that is mildly irritating. Like you could never create a perfect cut or draw a straight line. No matter what you do.
