After slow and agonizing days, the eggs of mine began to hatch. It looked to be three healthy spirals. Which, how was I supposed yo know what unhealthy looked like.

I turned to Opious who had gone silent during the encounter. Something about her look twisted from happy to almost rabid. She started mumbling something incoherent before she started to fizz and shake. Then she was gone. Just like that. It was scary seeing the life leave her like that.

But that wasn't the end. The youngest of the hatchlings began to shake and fizz the same way. Before falling over and was gone. I quickly scooped up the other two hatchlings before anything else happened. There's no way I'm going to get use to this.

Ever since Clytemnestra had her clutch, she's been a lot slower and less energetic. It's worrisome, especially since I know what's to come. I ask her over and over if she's okay and she says reassuringly she is.
She's asleep when the eggs hatch and I'm nervous. I saw what had happened to his mate and Offspring. I was nervous that'd happen to mine.

It had been five.. ten minutes and they were fine. However, for Clytemnestra, I can't say the same. I looked over and she was still asleep. I nudged her and she wouldn't budge. She felt ice cold. She had passed.
I'm at least thankful she passed in her sleep.
