Quests & Challenges

So… anyone else a fan of The Unexpectables? ‘Cos I sure am, and when I discovered the Fortune Teller’s Deck apparel is a thing that exists I knew I had to make a Tio fandragon that could wear it. And I can’t just have one Aspect in my lair, I’d have to have all of them, so I have to make scries/outfits for them all.

Trying to come up with outfits for these fragments was kind of hard because the actual characters don’t wear anything except for Tio the weirdo, but then I realised, why not put them in something similar to what their wielders wear, so that's what I did.

I'm going to use this thread to document my progress for each of these fandragons, and who knows, maybe when I've finished with these guys I'll try and make fandragons for other characters.

Lys was actually the hardest of the Aspects to design, all I really knew was that he had to be a noodle Spiral. I've stuck with some very plain white clothes for him. I both really love and really hate the Woodmask for Lys, on one hand the horns on it are almost perfect to replicate Lys's mask, but on the other there's all those feathers which really don't suit him. Oh well, it's good enough I suppose. [s]Lys will only have Beastclan familiars since I feel they would make a good stand-in for the mortal races that he loves so much.[/s] Whoops, changed my mind, at least for the moment. Since Beastclan members are an important part of my Pern Weyr lore (which I will get around to writing at some point) it's my Pernese dragons that get first pick of the Beastclans. For now Lys is chilling with Orun, but I'll probably find equivalents to other gods when Orun reaches Awakened status. [outfit=1839040] And Lys is completed! Vista: [item=Vista: Solar]While it's not perfect it at least kinda fits, at least until a better option appears.

Ith was fairly simple to design, I feel Fae really fits this precious anxious musician. I gave him an outfit reminiscent of Panic's, gave him some jewellery to mimic the piercings Panic has, gave him a lyre since that's the instrument we saw him play in the Realm of Discord [s]and because there's no electric guitar[/s], and then I had to give him those spats because goddamn are they cute and I really like the treble cleff on them. I ended up not giving Ith a mask since none of the options really looked great for him, and the Fae's head kind of looks like his mask anyway. I will be putting musical familiars on Ith, since a few of them do remind me of Discord Devils and that just fits Ith so well. [outfit=1839044] Ith is finished and looking like an absolute cutie! [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/75192333][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/751924/75192333_350.png[/img][/url] I realised while doing this project that Ith is the only Aspect I designed using a male dragon, all the others are female, and that made me consider maybe making a breeding project involving them. It doesn't fit with the character lore or anything, but I think it might be fun to try and breed a ton of Aspects that all get exalted, as a representation for all the ones that have been lost/consumed in the Aliverse. [u]Well I started this little idea, I wonder if there's a limit on the amount of offspring a single dragon can produce...[/u] Need to Get Scene: Nothing really suits him at the moment, maybe in the future though. For Aos I went with a Guardian, I'm not really sure why but it just seems to work for him. The Sanddune Rags work well to mimic his mask somewhat, and the material has a similar colour to what Task wears so that was great. Obviously Aos needed a bow to represent Epoch, I'm just sad there were no white bow options, but this one works I suppose. The shoulder guard is great for the porcelain armour that Aos gives Task too. I'll be giving Aos mechanical-themed familiars as a nod to his time in the Mechanist's Realm. Vista: [item= Vista: Tinkered Clock] 10/10, 5 stars, perfect for Aos.

Kai obviously had to be a Skydancer, it's the closest to a bird that is available at the moment. Though he needed those Feathered Wing apparel to really push the birdness. The Eastsong Face Mask is almost perfect for the fancy facepaint that Kai now wears, so that was awesome. And then the Crane Armor is almost a perfect match for Greckles's armor. All in all Kai was the easiest to put together. Kai will be getting firey familiars due to his links to the Elemental Plane of Fire. [outfit=1839036] Kai is finished and looking gorgeous! Certainly it comes close. Vista: [item= Vista: Swan Lake] White wings fit Kai, the background doesn't. But again, no great options really.

Tio the one that started this quest, was fairly easy to design. Bogsneak seems to really fit him, the posture certainly feels very Tio. Unlike the other Aspects I decided not to base Tio's outfit on his wielder Remy, and instead based it on the outfit he wore in his disguised form. Trying to find a good mask for Tio was a nightmare, what I'm using now is okay but I will be happy to change it if anyone has a better idea or if new apparel comes out that is more fitting. Tio will be getting fae-like familiars since he spent so much time within the Feywild, though I am tempted to give him gryphons as a nod to Remy instead. Nothing really screams him though. I want a Scene/Vista based on Swipp so I can give Tio his caravan. Been selling off Nocturne eggs for gems and was able to pick up Glimmer for Kai, so now the birb is complete! Or at least he is appearance wise, I still need to figure out what to do with his bio.

Next I'll be focusing on Tio as I already have some of the stuff for him already.

So I may have gone on a spending spree and bought a ton of the apparel that I needed for this project. I'm going to need to start saving up again, my coffers are almost empty.

I bought and breed changed a couple more dragons so now I have Ith and Aos to work on, though my treasure coffers are still horrendously low and I am out of Nocturne eggs to sell, so I will probably be putting progress for this challenge on hold and focus more on my Fodderlocke to get my treasure back up to a good amount.

Ith, Aos and Tio all grew up today so I could finally start dressing them, and I was able to pick up the last few pieces of apparel I needed for them too, so they are now all finished up. Now to finish geneing Lys and start buying apparel for them, but oh boy, I really need to do more saving up. Who knew that making fandragons could be so expensive?

I have been doing some scrying for a potential The End dragon, but I kinda want to wait for the last episode to come out before committing to a plan for them, most of what I've done has just been based on speculation, and I'd rather get a bit more info on them before committing to something.
