Clearly, this is meant to help prepare dragons on their way through the woods. @IllusiveFox [br][br][emoji=torch]Somehow, the ruby looks even bigger on this side of the river than it did on the other; maybe because there's less water between the embankment you're standing on and the huge pillar itself. The fountain of water that surges from below it seems stronger, too, and the spray whips past your face with enough force to sting.[br][br]The ruby pillar really is huge. It's so big that trying to fit the size of it in your mind is a struggle. Taking steps away from it is a struggle. Trying to read the runes on the gleaming surface is a struggle. You feel as though you can almost see something. Though it hurts you to look at it, the strange runes are almost words... You just need to get a little closer. Just a little bit.[br][br]If only you could move.[br][br]There's a sudden humming that reverberates through your skull for a split second before a jolt runs through your body, granting you control of your own body with a sudden shock. You jump back so quickly that it's hard to tell if the reaction was entirely of your own volition, bumping roughly into the wall of the castle behind you, and a wave of exhaustion sweeps over you. The whole world feels a little heavier, and whatever energy you had before feels sapped..[br][br]Whatever just happened, however, has broken the ruby's hold - any sense of allure you experienced before is replaced by a deep sense of foreboding.[br][br]As you move away from it, you can't shake the feeling that you're being watched.[br][br][br]You have found some [b]RARE LOOT[/b] (will be sent to you later!). The ruby pillar really is huge. It's so big that trying to fit the size of it in your mind is a struggle. Taking steps away from it is a struggle. You just need to get a little closer. Just a little bit.

@Rivertyl [br][br][emoji=torch]This alcove is filled with tools for a scrivener's trade: there's jars of ancient pigments and various inks, quills, and yards and yards of parchment, rolled up and leaning against the corner, almost as tall as the alcove it's sitting in. There's a small ledge that looks perfect as a sitting area, though there doesn't seem to be a table of any sort in this tiny room.[br][br][br]You have found some [b]COMMON LOOT[/b] (will be sent to you later!).[br][br] [emoji=torch]Each of the uniform alcoves around the room has its own set of shelves, and there's a myriad of tiny trinkets scattered about the room on them. The particular arrangement and location of the types of trinkets amid the alcoves gives each one its own personal touch; in one alcove, a few different gemstones have been shaped into tiny figurines that look relatively canid; in another, some calculations have been scratched onto the wall in ink that is startlingly bright, considering how old the writing probably is. If you're willing to eat something glowing (and you're careful), you can easily harvest enough plant food to sustain you for quite some time without causing damage to your environment, and you might even be able to harvest some of the rarer specimens for examination later. Whether they'll survive your adventure is anyone's guess. There's almost a dozen different types of fungus in your immediate vicinity, and the more discerning mycologist would recognize that at least three are variations that have never been seen before. If you're willing to eat something glowing (and you're careful), you can easily harvest enough plant food to sustain you for quite some time without causing damage to your environment, and you might even be able to harvest some of the rarer specimens for examination later.
