He's an expert in always finding a way, and if nothing else his drive is not easy to deny. He's one of the better fighters in the Order, but has and always will put his family first. He can be very loud at times, but most of his clanmates see it as rallying rather than annoying. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color][size=5]H[/size]e can be a tad full of himself, and thinks his best quality is his adaptability -- arguably what drew him and Lumophen together in the first place. He's smarter than you'd expect for packing as much muscle as he does, but it's bred in him the idea that he doesn't need others help to get things done. He likes to do things alone when possible and grows impatient and snappy if he feels he's forced to carry anyone else's weight. He quickly became one of the best fighters amongst other hatchlings his age and gained quite a following for it. He became quick friends with Lumophen, and quicker enemies with Brivet, the two fighting nearly constantly. They were each determined to prove themselves better than each other. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color][size=5]A[/size]ll throughout their youths as they trained, they saught to tear each other down, creating a rift between his family and Brivets. It wasn't until much later that a surprise visit from Menta, the mother of Brivet, Velleity, and Rudeneja, that it was discovered Matthew was a part of the family too - her grandson, who had gone missing. While it was warm reunion between the two, the family ties between him and Brivet never truly mended. They continue to antagonize each other, but mostly have just learned to leave each other alone. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color][size=5]T[/size]hrough hard work and dedication, Matthew became a well-respected fighter in the Order, but he sacrificed his chances at moving up further in the ranks to have a family with his beloved Lumophen. He strives to teach his children the importance of confidence and passion, instilling them with ambitions and dreams and helping them see it through as best he can. -----

He has a strong sense of morals and principles that he lives by, and is by no means weak or a pushover when it comes to defending them. He is a thinker, a philosopher in some respects, but mostly a deeply introspective dragon that encourages meditation and speech over violence. He is humble, and gentle despite a somewhat imposing size. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color]He is a proud father to many children, though not all of them have stayed in the Order. He often takes young dragons under his wing to act as a fatherly figure for those that need it. He's very perceptive and insightful, both about other people's character and their actions.

While not conceited in appearance, he is a very proud dragon that doesn't take kindly to any negative comments about himself. He readily gets into fights with others for little to no discernable reason. Rumor has it that there are a few contributing factors to his aggression. The first is that the clan's leaders have always considered him like a son, and he wishes to follow in their footsteps to be fierce and respected. All his life he's been overshadowed by newer dragons in the Order, passed up for positions that he more than had the seniority and experience for. It's created a constant struggle in his life to be recognized for the work he's put into his job. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color]The second follows more on his size. For as incredibly large as his wings are, his body is far smaller. The need to prove that this does not make him weak or any less deserving of respect has also come up. He can be quite bossy with the rest of the Immortal Guard, which has earned him no love from its members. In truth he has few friends in general, as tends to happen with dragons that make enemies so easily. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color]Sometimes though, in the company of the right dragon, the fiery exterior gets revealed to be just that: a shell protecting a dragon that simply doesn't know any other way in life. They mimic her confident strut, even as they nip at each other's fins. The other dragons dip their heads respectfully, equal amounts of respect and reverence in their eyes. When the last hatchling makes the crossing, the bustle begins once more. She can see other dragons, places, and things, so long as she is given sufficient enough material to do it - such as having been there before, seen them before, seen the object, or an object important to the person or place, and so on. Her job is usually just to keep tabs on dragons that have left the Order for various jobs, to ensure that they are okay and don't need reinforcements.

While their relationship is not what one would consider 'loving', he is loyal to her as she is to him, and that makes them a force to be reckoned with. Carnage himself is a dragon of strong opinion and tough skin. He to not use two words where one would do, and often comes off as gruff and unpleasant for this. He doesn't back down from a fight, whether verbal or physical, and is well known for his abilities in combat. Though, his niche falls more in defense than it does in outright force, like Athanasia. He is her enforcer, but more than that he is the clan's protector. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color]For as much as his presence (rightfully) inspires nerves in other dragons, keeping his clanmates safe is his sworn duty and something that he binds himself by. He has a tendency to solve problems with violence, which isn't always the right approach to problems, especially those of a more diplomatic nature, but this drive comes from a need to protect the Tempest Order from any and all threats that may assail it. [color=#eeeeee]______[/color]Carnage is not a dragon with many charms. He is ruthless and dirty, covered in scratches, scrapes, and scars from his time on the battlefield. He looks perpetually worn and weathered from his years in the desert. He is not diplomatic, nor does he attract the positive attention of anyone around him. He is more than intimidating, especially to the mages he is known for being great at in combat.
