I'm getting a little bored with my lair as-is, so I decided to do a breeding challenge! I've seen several iterations of this challenge, but here are the rules I'm using:
Progens: Your progens are the two cheapest plentiful RTB gen ones on the AH. You can also use your actual progens, provided you haven't yet gened them. One of their hatchlings, whichever you choose, will start this challenge.
First Generation: Now that you have your first heir, go to the AH and find the cheapest dragon that is one rarity up in every category--genes and breed--from your heir, and has the opposite gender marker. This will be your first mate. Their heir will be determined by the number of points each hatchling has.
Points: Points are accumulated in a number of ways.
Winning: You win once you have an heir with all rare genes and breed. Congratulations!
Optional rules:
- Need For Speed: Ignore the rules about breeds. This challenge will be done with only Plentiful breeds.
- Full Rainbow: You win only by getting at least one hatchling with every color on the color wheel.
- The More Colorful, The Better: If there are multiple mates that cost the same, pick the one farthest away from your heir on the color wheel.
- No Takebacks: You can only get your mates through dragon swap threads. Ignore the rule about increasing gene rarity.
- Oops: When buying mates, prioritize the genes you personally find to be the ugliest.
- Playing Favorites: Ignore the rule about points. Pick the dragon you like the most to be the heir.
- I Feel Pretty: You can breed your quadruple-Rare dragon one more time to get a dragon you want to keep.
I won't be using any of the optional rules, but I encourage anyone who wants to to undergo this challenge using as many optional rules as you want.
Without further ado, my progens for this challenge!
Ranija came already named, but it's a good name. I might keep her. Her colors are pretty nice, and she was born on April Fool's Day.
Tafadel's name came courtesy of the random name generator. I probably won't keep him, but I like what Tarnish does to his frills.
They have three eggs!
