Ah, the horror of being Wegged... You're still an amazing help for trying, and hey, any chance to get stained into this tricky little project is a good thing!
The range between my new boy and your fae actually isn't bad; he's Amber/Flaxen/Gold, which means the colour range is 15/6/1. Primary range is a bit wide, but since he's got perfect colours* it'd be hard to find a closer match colour wise. That said, if you have a boy that's not as close but has stained, I'd know for a fact I'd have a certain way to get stained into the breeding mix...
I think, if you already have a dragon who's got that spicy stained gene, go for them, but if not then the best choice is probably to try breeding her and my new boy. Since you've got light nests, and I'm looking for light eyes on the end dragon, it'd make sense to try and kill two birds with one fortuitous stone, assuming you'd be okay with taking the nest. If not, that's still cool, you've already been an amazing help just by giving me a way to get this project really going!
(*okay, gold isn't perfect perfect but gold stained and buttercup stained are so close in looks it's perfect enough for me)
