Hi! The new update adds [b]Effects[/b], which are a new type of customization for your dragon. They can be bought in the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/market/treasure/specialty]Treasure[/url] or [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/market/gem/specialty]Gem[/url] marketplaces, depending on which one you want. For now, you'll also get a free one from [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/trading/gift]Galore[/url] that you can use!
In the bottom corner of the item icons, you'll see these indicators. The helmet means that this effect changes the look of the dragon's apparel, and the wing means it changes the dragon itself! Some effects will affect both; these will have a golden box in the bottom corner.

Let's use [gamedb item=61941] as an example, since it's the one you get from Galore. The item affects Apparel, and the effect is a white line that runs over the apparel artwork every few seconds to give it a "glossy" appearance.
Here's what Sheen looks like on one of my dragons, for example:

To add an effect to a dragon, click Customize under their image, and then "Effect" in the menu of 5 options that appears. If using Sheen, or any other effect that only works on apparel, make sure the dragon you're using it on is actually [i]wearing[/i] apparel, or else it won't work!

You'll be taken to a page with your dragon on the left, and your owned effects on the right. If you're trying to use Sheen, you'll have to click on the Apparel tab to see it.

You can then select the Effect, and see it on your dragon. After clicking on it, you can leave the page, and it'll save!
If the animation isn't playing (you may need to wait a few seconds for Sheen; it only shows occasionally), you may want to make a report [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/bug/3397599]in the Effects Bug Thread[/url]! It's a new feature, and isn't working perfectly on all devices/browsers at the moment.

Hi @firewing123 if you are talking about the effects they are basically an accessory item that complements a dragon with their existing genes, skins and apparel.
For example some can give your dragons a shimmer or cool colors that will stay on top of a dragons color.
This is one example of my dragon with the effect Glitz
You can buy a few from the treasure marketplace and the rest from the gem marketplace. :)

Puttin' on the ritz! Applies bright animated glitter spots to just the body of one dragon.
Like apparel, skins, and scenes, effects are purely cosmetic items that can be added and removed from dragons at any time.

Louis is displayed as a fallback image due to an error while loading Effect: Glitz effect.
