I'll be having the new effects auto-paused almost all the time (thanks so much for including that settings option up front!), and most of the effects are still visible like this, which is nice. Sheen isn't, and I think having a little static reflection/sheen line might be a good option to have for some of my more metallic dragons.
So adjusting the part of the animation loop that sheen pauses on so it's visible when paused, and making sure future effects are all visible when paused in a similar way, is what I'd like to suggest.

Agree with this. It might be the only effect that I end up having, and I keep things paused, so it would be nice to actually see that shine on my dragons.

agreed! the pause between the animation takes so long you can hardly even notice there's an effect half the time even when unpaused, at least if it's paused you should see the effect
