This is Obscura. I'm sure I'll write lore for her and finish her outfit eventually, but for now, I'll just admire how she perfectly balances sunlight and shadow. I know that it's been 3 weeks, but man... the solar eclipse absolutely blew me away. I got to view it in the direct path of totality with perfect weather, and I still can't believe I saw that with my own eyes.

This is Obscura. I'm sure I'll write lore for her and finish her outfit eventually, but for now, I'll just admire how she perfectly balances sunlight and shadow. I know that it's been 3 weeks, but man... the solar eclipse absolutely blew me away. Ahh! She's so stunning, you really do need the eclipse glasses to look at her :O
I got this Gen 1 born on the eclipse date as well! Unfortunately we were close not not quite in the path of totality, I think it was like 95% or something, but it was cloudly anyways :( I'm glad I got this guy, though, because he made the rather dissapointing day a lot better.
His name is- its creative brace yourself- Eclipticsky. I love him so much I'm actually starting a lineage project (he's the founder alongside his partner Moondancer) and if I'm honest I'm so excited about it I just gotta chat about it to anyone and everyone ever so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this post. I am also super excited about their lore and stuff and love seeing where everybody else took their eclipse dragons.

She's perfect omg! I love all the warm tones the grey iridescent brings in, and she has one of the most excellent uses of points I've seen [emoji=special eyes size=1]

This is Syracuse! We traveled a bit into the path of totality (three guesses where!) and unfortunately, things were too cloudy to see the corona- but even with the clouds, it was a super cool experience and we had a lot of fun! Already considering chasing another eclipse if it takes us somewhere interesting~

wow, those colors are perfect! i genuinely couldn't tell what's part of the skin and what isn't until i looked in Predict Morphology. she even has hints of red like solar prominences! what a perfect eclipse baby :)
this is my eclipse kid :) he's not complete yet, but he represents ~90% totality, when the sky gets dim but not yet dark, which is what i saw!

I was in partial totality for last year's eclipse, so it was at least interesting to see how the shadows were moving. Some of my family went to go see it in totality. Apparently it was amazing.
My 4/8 hatch is in dire need of scatters, so I'll share my 10/14/2023 solar eclipse hatch instead. I love her dearly and I'm glad I got this weird combo to work!

I wasn't near the path of totality, but I did get to see the weird crescent-shaped shadows it caused, and watched the NASA livestream of it ^^

Here's my eclipse kid! I got[i] really[/i] lucky finding them, a light primal born on the day of the solar eclipse with especially lovely colors. They work at a library, they like to brew tea and are generally very chill, even though they're a powerful mage
this just inspired me to finish this guy haha

and I put all of my photos in his bio for posterity! I got REALLY lucky that I saw the eclipse at all, nevermind the totality; I was near Niagara and I know they got clouded over which is incredibly tragic because I know that's where most people were)
