One day, eggs started cropping up everywhere... Bushes, buildings, dens, you name it. Every region had growing reports of little spherical eggs, but no one knew what they belonged to. That was, until they hatched.
The hatchlings, dubbed "Chaosdots", had huge eyes, no limbs except wings, and strange orbs on their bodies. It was soon discovered that these orbs were nodes, used to sense magic in the atmosphere. They can channel energy through these nodes and use them for combat, although their diminutive size prevents them from being a major threat to many dragons.
Some theorize that they came from another universe, others believe that they were simply lost to time before emerging once again. One thing is certain, though. They are... kind of annoying.
Chaosdots will lay their eggs just about anywhere, with little regard for other dragons. They zip around, flying off before they can be caught. If one is caught in the act, they will apologize before struggling to escape. Their nervous behavior is unusual for a dragon, and beastclans have even taken to calling them "pseudo-dragons".
Whatever and wherever they are, they're sure to be causing chaos...
Anyway, here they are!
