My girlfriend and I make lots of original characters and fan characters based on stuff like Yokai Watch, Pokémon, and Dragon Quest, and even make them into original forms.
With the advent of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, my new favorite Pokémon has become Gholdengo (and Gimmighoul is also an adorable little nugget)! So I've made like three Gholdengo fan characters and a Gimmighoul fan character while my girlfriend has made one Gholdengo.
Her character's name is Blake, and they are a max size shiny Gholdengo (impossible in-game sadly), and their partner is a shiny Polteageist named Tiko. They adopted a little Roaming Form Gimmighoul named Oro. Blake tends to sprinkle Hawaiian words and surfer lingo into their dialogue, so they've called Oro their hanai boy-o.
Now, onto the story behind this tiny bugg boi.
Aether immediately became my new favorite dergs, after it just being male Coatl! I love how they look and their happy yet silly energy (I really like Gholdengo, I wonder why I like Aether!), so finally after all this time I had a breed I might wanna work with for Blake, Tiko, and Oro.
For Oro, my initial idea was Smoke/Metals/Lemon, because it's not like I use the most obscure and time intensive XYZ's ever. But hey, maybe there would be a dragon I could use as a start or even just one that matches in the auction house!
Well, I didn't find one. But...I did find an adult male Skydancer who was affordable, was of the right flight, and had Smoke and Metals...with an extremely acceptable tertiary of Gold...so I immediately snapped him up and proceeded to drain my bank account into making him the precious little nugget you see before you!
I'm gonna be feeling that splurge for a long time, but I don't regret it. It's been an extremely long time since I ever decidedly wanted a new dragon, and I even didn't get into the spirit of Night of the Nocturne last year, the time when I eagerly crawl out of my hidey-hole and actively play Flight Rising.
I'm gonna have to figure some stuff out so I can fund the buying of a billion Aether Scrolls because these lovely fluffbeasts are simply so good and they make a lot of my more questionable dragons work well, probably! Even some future endeavors I have planned would be best as Aether!
Anyway thank you for coming to my TED Talk, good luck on your alien moth dragon endeavors!!!
