TOPIC | Once Again Amused By Eggs
Ok. So. I really only add coatls to my clan. That being said, I do have a penchant for keeping any first gen faes that I hatch from foundling eggs hidden away in my hib den. (Any other foundlings get put in the queue to get coatl-fied so I can add them to my hoard [emoji=coatl tongue size=1] ) Around four months ago, I hatched Petani from a wind egg. I had to put a bit of work into their scries and outfits to make sure I wasn't going to end up with something too similar. Won't lie, they both really had challenging scries. While the primary and secondary are nice enough together, they both had sort of out-there tertiary colors. Thankfully, Petani's tertiary mantis not only matches her eyes really well, but is less alarming when I give her spines (I like when spines match eyes, I have discovered). (I am open to outfit suggestions, if anyone can think of an item or two off the tops of their heads that might go with the set I've started here.) I couldn't make it work very well with her current eye type. Honestly, shadow primal is just... not my fave. I don't enjoy most primal eyes tbh, not even for my own flight. And I've got several! So. Going to switch that over, but I think using her very bright tertiary with a complimentary accent makes everything come together nicely. I mean. I'm assuming that certain color ranges are more common for first gens, but it seems odd to have such a similar look so far apart from such different eggs.
