...do keep in mind that moderation duties are generally a thankless task that can be draining when dealing with site issues on a large scale, and not something to seek out lightly. I mod three sites right now and I wouldn't suggest volunteering unless you are prepared to be a janitor and a servant... as being a moderator is not a sign of a higher "social status" position in the community as people seem to think it is...
