@Mirrorwolf Nothing of mine broke that I know of, I'll have a better look in the morning. Half of Wanganui has the power out (not my half :P).

I mean granted I was awake anyway working on a drawing. But there's no way I'm gonna be getting to sleep now, nope.
I'm in Wellington in an old wooden house and my room is full of glass ornaments. Needless to say I'm currently sleeping on the couch in my bro's room because there are glass shards on my floor ;;

I just read on the one new website that there has been a 2 meter tsunami in Kaikoura and that there could be more :(

@Mirrorwolf I'm in chch, but my flat didn't really get any damage. Everything at could have been broken in chch already has been, what hasn't is blu taced down XD

Seeing all the photos that have come out today I've realized that we were very lucky this time. Two people died and it's horrible. If this earthquake was centered in a city then it could have been thousands. Even if it had hit at noon instead of midnight I think more people could have gotten injured or killed.
