If your dragons aren't selling, it's likely not the names, it's likely that no one is interested in the breed, color, and/or genes of them at the time.
Three polls so far have shown that most people (at least the ones who visit the forums, and FRD in particular) don't care if the dragon is named or not. If they want the dragon, they'll buy it regardless.

Wow, really?
One, they aren't real, they aren't alive. 'Cruel and heartless'? They're a collection of pixels.
Two, just because someone's headcanon isn't YOURS doesn't make it 'weird'. Besides that, it's been stated time and again exalted dragons are not dying.

This is true, though I suppose I didn't make myself very clear. If someone buys one of your dragons and exalts it without naming it, that "Unnamed" dragon will still appear in the lineage of the parent (yours). Honestly, it takes five seconds to hit the "Random" button and name the thing before exalting it. It's not that hard. So if someone isn't capable of doing that, then I think there should be an option to name them once yourself. I don't want to hide the offspring of my dragons because I enjoy looking at all the different combinations they've made and all the babies out there somewhere.

@3vad127
So you practically said it all in your own post. Take those 5 seconds before selling them and name your dragons. You'll never have to worry about unamed exaltees in your offspring list again.
I'm still agains forcing a name onto exalted hatchlings. It would be so much harder to implement that what we allready have. (You know.. with the fact that dragonparents CAN belong to two different persons. Who of them gets to say if the dragon is going to be named and then they'd have to decide on a name?)
Nah... better name them yourself. So you might not even have to bother about 'bad names'. Or you may be ending up with a 5-dragon-clutch all named Mulch. The Horror... (really.. I don't like repeating names on my list and wait more or less patently on the Name-hiding update)

@Sindh Exalting is not death so where in the heck are you getting that? Also how the heck is it "Cruel" when you could easily headcanon that the deity they've been exalted to gives them a divine name? Your headcanon is your problem and don't call other people heartless because of it.
In regards to the suggestion:
No Support. Not your dragon, not your say.

They're being sent to do battle! Hatchlings, even! Tell me how that isn't cruel lol. Obviously I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but I still support the idea that if you own the parents to that dragon, they could still name it something if noone else has. I think it would add interest that replaces the obvious lack of care that exalters have when rallying cheap dragons to their flight.

What if someone bred them while they were unnamed before exalting and kept the child and wanted those parents to stay unnamed?
Absolutely no support, once you sell it you have no say even if you still own the parents because the buyer could breed a child(ren) and have just as much say over it by that logic.
If you want them to have names, name them before you sell it doesn't deter buyers. People don't have much space anymore, that's why many go unsold. Not them being named.

I'm not expecting support, but I'm still giving mine. I respect that the decision has already been made but I STILL SUPPORT this idea, because I like it and it's more fun. I cannot imagine someone who actually wants "unnamed" dragon, but I guess if it's anything like not liking dragons to wear pants..??
I'd actually prefer they fix the coliseum lag glitches before they implement the offspring list alterations... and I definitely have started giving my dragons terrible names before selling them. I guess it just makes people who actually name babies that much more awesome to me.

Serving a deity =/= fighting, friend. They could be researching, being taught in schools, being trained in magic or cooking or calligraphy, or anything really. Wars are not won by foot soldiers alone.

Thank you I had not thought about that. It brings much comfort to know that little Unnamed, daughter of Lovecat and Corona, purchased for 20 gems and exalted for less than 4k treasure, is being eternally schooled in the alchemic arts. I will never forget you my child.

How would Lovecat and Corona ever know what their child's name was once they were sent off and never seen again? The fact that they sold the child on the market to a clan they had no way of knowing without bothering to name her leads me to believe that they wouldn't really care, I would think. Receiving word that their daughter was given the utmost honor of being trained/schooled/cared for by a deity would be a relief after that ordeal, I think.
