I bought her as exalt fodder but as I was training her I realized how pretty she was and then I didn't have the heart to exalt her anymore.
Sorry for the abuse but it's hard to choose just one of them. So many stories and struggle behind every of them.

Curry was hatched from 2 of my dragons and at first, I didn't found her pretty. (I really don't find baby skydancers cute at all honestly) But my sixth sense tells me to keep her and see how she will be adult. And that's how I grow up on her. Her colors are simple, but soft and... I don't know. I just kept her. She's so calm.

She was one of my first dragon in my lair when I joined FR. A friend gave me her because she needed more place in her lair. I found her a little boring (it was my friend who named her) but now she's one of my favorite of my lair. I like the way she turned out with how I customized her. Plus, she makes fabulous kids. ~ She has such character with her ice eyes and crooked smile. So fierce!

I wasn't sure to pick him when a another friend of mine showed me her hatchlings because of his underbelly. But the colors were nice so I was ''why not?'' I did not regret it. Bloom is fabulous.

He has really simple colors, but I love his eyes. I just wish there were more (or any) Halloween-type apparel.

Snapped this girl up in the AH when Smoke was still brand spankin' new. Absolutely hated her colors but I wanted a dragon with Smoke so I could be one of the cool kids. Some how she's survived countless lair purges since then and I kinda love her.

I thought, I'll breed once and use the babies while I exalt the parents. I got an xxy blood/chocolate and a lovely obsidian/carmine w/ maize underbelly from the nest but do I keep those? No. I keep their parents around for a second shot simply because I [i]had[/i] to make the connection between his colors and Eeyore (hence the name). I just... I keep kidding myself that I'll breed just one more time and exalt when I know that even if his mate moves on I'm keeping him.
@sourfox - you keep that skydancer because she's beautiful. ;)

I got him from a breeding pair I absolutely desperately needed a hatchling from. NEEDED. But when the nest hatched, they- well.
I snatched him up with no hesitation, don't get me wrong. But that rust belly with... maroon? Why those two reds? What's up with that? I piled him up with apparel and that helped, but I wasn't all that in love with his colors.
Then his accent came along and suddenly his colors are absolutely 100% perfect, no way I could EVER change him. Best. I adore him endlessly and he's one of my very favorites.
Also- @sourfox - that skydancer is *gorgeous*! I adore coral and orange together!
