Wave: ah, i see, i see, i was talking about my world though, not this world, or your world, im pretty sure me and Fern dont know what kinds of strange beings lurk around here... other than the one that Thar sensed, but that's besides the point, we have many tales of those strange beings from our world... which means it may be a bit hard to pick out, like, a handful for campfire stories
Fern: ...what if i talk about one and you talk about one, Wave? like, one you know better than me, and one i know better than you
Wave: ah, yeah, that should work... but of-coarse, we must wait for the night time, because we cant really light a fire in the day time... that would kinda mess up the natural vibe of the wonder of the campfire, and the stories
Fern: indeeeed
~meanwhile, at Error, The "Fae", and Arctos~
Error: Yes, Yes, They. Are. Indeed. Strange. Beings, And. I. Myself. Wasn't. A. Dragon. Before. I. Got. Here, I. Was. More. Of... A. Piece. Of. "Technology", The. Electrical. Kind, Not. The. Magical. Kind. So... Essentially, I. Wasn't. Really. Created. By. A. "Deity", But... On. Second. Thought... Maybe. I. Technically. WAS. Created. By. One... Or. I. Split. Off. Of. One... It's. Hard. To. Explain. With. The. Limitations. Of. This. World's. Vocabulary...
*Error would notice the shadows creeping around them... which looked like the perfect signal to them that they needed to get out of the ground and test their theory, so they utilized their arms and legs to push down on the ground, slowly freeing their fins from the earth, but, at the same time, they were trying to do it as subtly as possible, as to not alert Arctos that they possibly figured out that the Fae was some sort of distraction*

"Campfire stories only really work with a fire and a nice clear night" Iris wiggled her claws.
Bubblen chittered in response, staring intently at Fyre. After a bit of poking at the fae, the cauldron scuttled over to the hole and peeked in. Chirp? Chirp....
She tilted her head "Intriguing! Most fascinating!" The fae pulled forth a strand of shadow and twirled it around in her hand "We sense what you are doing" She grinned widely at the sandsurge.

Fyrestorm sighed slightly in relief. Again, on the one hand, Bubblen being helpful was cause for concern on its own, even if they weren't in a terrifying forest. On the other, at least they were being helpful.

many places I have been, many sorrows I have seen, but I don't regret, nor will I forget, those who took that road with me
Wave: exactly, and, if possible, a nice little piece of the galaxy to sit under, sitting under starlight and moonlight is the only way to get in the right mood for such stories...
~meanwhile, at the forest gang~
*noticing this, Error stopped a bit, they were about halfway out of the ground*
Error: True, True, And. Uh. I. Y- suddenly, Error would shift to that more... masculine (more of an older voice, like, of a man over 20 or so) voice, but it wasn't entirely perfect, as there was still a slight hint of strangeness to it, kinda like the garbled noises were still happening, just a lot quieter, as an undertone GAH! ok, enough of the voice mimicking, i've been getting TIRED of that, and you! you are just trying to distract me from my goal, while yes, i could go along with you and get information about this world... which, yeah, would be nice, i do have stuff to talk about, but! my current goal is to learn about that... cauldron thing! that that dragon lady was keeping me away from, so, please, let me do this, and i wont bother your... clan, i guess? ever again
*and so, he would continue getting himself unstuck, now getting a bit faster, since, well, the blood rushing to his head was now getting annoying*
(his real voice has arrived c:)

Iris rested her head on her arms "When it's dark... the sky is so full of stars. Like sand scattered on cloth"
(The night sky is so large when there's no light pollution. It's beautiful)
The nose reappeared, trying to nip at Bubblen's leg. It squawked indignantly in response.
The fae chuckled, still hovering upside down "Ah, and thus the charade ends!" She tilted her head "What is there to learn about a cauldron? It is a thing of metal" She pointed a thin claw at him "Ohhh, but you have already. And we don't like thaaaaat"

Fyrestorm sighed, then fished around in the undergrowth until he found an insect that looked edible. He held it out in front of the probing nose, trying to coax the familiar it was attached to into the open.

Wave: indeed... indeed... i do agree with ya, it does kinda look like that at times... even if that sounds mostly like a saying, or a comparison... but, yeah, it'll be nice to see it without light pollution blotting out the sky, since, well, there aren't really any forms of light here, well, other than fire, and lanterns but that stuff isn't really strong enough to do whatever caused the whole light pollution thing from both of our worlds...
~meanwhile, at Error and The Fae~
Error: yeah, it ends, woop-de-doo, to be honest, i was pretty interested in your whole offer... but then, y'know, i figured out this might be a distraction, so, if you would please, let me go find that cauldron thing, which, yes, i should have been more specific, the cauldron familiar, the living cauldron, with legs, and why are you talking about what you like? i dont like whatever you seem to be doing around me! so i'm leaving!
*after a bit, Error would manage to get his fans unstuck from the earth, and then he would flip himself over, so that he was standing upright, and, as a surprise to nobody, he would just... stand there, giving his body the moment it needed to re-supply his body with the oxygen and blood it needed to bolt off, so... he stood there... awkwardly, since he would still shiver a bit, since his body really wanted to flop on the ground, but he wouldn't allow it do that...*

Iris nodded in agreement, contemplating asking what light pollution was, but managed to figure it out from context.
The nose followed the tasty scent of bug. A lot of this familiar was apparently nose. Bubblen was now 'helping' by staring very intently at the insect, poised to pounce.
The fae flipped herself round "It ran from you, I don't think it wants to see you. Especially after terrifying the poor beast" She arched her neck, her wings seemingly growing larger and larger with every flap "No... You're not going to be going anywhere"
Many pairs of bright eyes lit up in the undergrowth, slipping in and out of the darkness. A discordant chorus of quiet giggles filled the air as the fae grew closer, shadows deepening the gloom of the forest.

Fyrestorm glared at Bubblen, hoping the living cauldron wouldn't eat his bait before whatever was inside that log decided to come out. To that end, he started talking, using the usual talking-to-pets voice.
"Hey there! I'm not gonna hurt you, so come on out so I can get you back to your family. Sound good?"

*Wave was pretty ready to explain what "light pollution" even was... but he sensed that Iris managed to figure it out, it wasn't really that hard to understand, but, hey, sometimes there isn't any kind of pollution in any other world, so it was good that he had that ready, regardless of if Iris didnt know or knew all along*
~meanwhile, at Error and The Fae~
Error: yes, admittedly, i did do that, but, to be honest, i didn't know any better back there, i was still in my before-here mindset, i might still be in that, but it doesn't matter... and... hmmm, i would like to see you try!
*Error would then perform the most impressive back flip any dragon could do (well, it was more like an air spin, cus there was a bit of a strange weight distribution problem with the fans and such), and then he would burrow under the ground, and he would go off in the direction that he believed Mire gone*
(Error is in pursuit! you better watch out~)
