@Aspencrow
Good to see those two again, just try to limit the dragons to two max per post.

Does the genetic Opal mutation disrupt such dragon's ability to fly? If so do they use magic of some sort to make up for it? Does the mutation affect dragons worse or less when in certain environments/weather conditions, or is it's disruption of movement mostly consistent?

Blind with light/shadow perception? Does that mean Firebrand can see light just not with his eyes, or does that mean he can see light/shadow magic? Always love when dragons have familiars that play a role.

@HappyAccidents
Never heard of Opal's condition before now, sounds like it would absolutely suck to have. Is she able to push past the fatigue to do the things she wishes to do, or does the condition and risk of injury stop her?

@Barrdwing
I have a dragon with a simular amplification of Spiral traits
(Jonia in the Osage Trench section).

I love Jaguar he is such a character! His dynamic with his Cicitrix is both hilarious and really sweet. Does he have to stick low to the ground during his flights so that he doesn't get too damaged should he experience a fit? Is he prone to injury due to often falling from the sky, has he ever got badly injured from it?

@SylviaSnake thanks for asking! :D
Does your dragonsona have a separate story outside it representing you?
not yet! but it's something i'd like to write eventually :>
Love Maise, very relatable lol. Have her social skills improved over time?
yes absolutely! she's certainly not socially adept by any means but her clan cherishes her greatly and simply overlook when she does a social oopsie or says something strange/rude on accident. she's gotten better at interacting with other dragons over time simply through experience + trial and error. she generally doesn't try to seek out social interactions too much and prefers to just do her own thing, but she can manage when she needs to socialize... though she's not always happy about that heh

Does the mutation affect dragons worse or less when in certain environments/weather conditions, or is it's disruption of movement mostly consistent?
It can disrupt a dragon's ability to fly if there are significant amounts of opalised tissue on the membrane/joints of the wings. Dragons can use spells to levitate and glide, though dragons from certain flights (like Earth) might find it harder than others (like Wind or Arcane) and might opt instead to acquire assistive devices that come pre-enchanted. The disruption of movement for the most part stays the same regardless of weather/environment, but some staying in areas with extremely high background magic levels can hasten the opalisation process
Blind with light/shadow perception? Always love when dragons have familiars that play a role.
So this based off of a real world form of blindness in which the part of the eye that perceives light is still functional and able to transmit information to the brain. The exact amount of information received can vary depending on what is causing the blindness. For example if there was a window letting in light and something blocking part of that window some people would only be able to see vague impressions of the object (or not be able to see it at all and would only be able to tell that there is light coming from that general area) whereas others would be able see a clear silhouette of it. In Fireband has pretty significant perception, he can see things when they are backlit and can sometimes see light reflecting off of things if he's close enough and there's enough light, hence his choice in guide familiar

He does tend to stay low for just that reason, although he depends on Cicatrix to catch him whenever possible. In Dawnsinger's story he did fly pretty high to get over the Rotrock Rim, and Cicatrix couldn't catch up in time to intercept Jager when he fell. Fortunately(?) Jager landed on a giant pustule. When he woke up blind, Cicatrix was sure it was because Jager had hit his head, but Jager insisted he'd had a dream where Plaguebringer ordered him to bring the Aberration scrolls to his home clan. Since he got his vision back--and then some--when he handed the scrolls over to Dawnsinger and Sunguard, it seems he was right.

Jonia sounds like fun! It's good that she has friends who get her.
@Stormisadragon What type of accident was it for him to lose all his limbs! Was the accident psyical or magical in nature? We're his limbs completely destroyed or just damaged to the point that they had to be removed? Was he damaged in other ways from the accident or did his legs tale all the damage?
He was helping out in my lair's workshop when a mix-up of potion ingredients caused an explosion right next to him. His legs took the majority of the damage, but weren't blown off entirely - they had to be removed later due to the damage they sustained, though. He's got chronic pain as a result of the explosion, and struggles with ptsd, but his physical injuries are mostly related to his legs.
