Finally, effects I'm gonna use.

genuinely same for me, i thought i would never use effects in my lair but the dithering one is such a neat stained effect. really hope they become available at cheaper prices soon... need my whole tab in this.

What follows is the item description:
def quantize for y in range x in range if old PIXEL newpixel set PIXEL??? return cool effect - very important it must look COOL - send msg. send message. why isn't it--- OHHHHHHHH
Like apparel, skins, and scenes, effects are purely cosmetic items that can be added and removed from dragons at any time.

yeah I didn't liked new ones at all (was close to like some but ehh), but dither... I need so many. I prefer static over animated for sure (I wanted to like pastel pulse but it looks too same on dragons)

They're absolutely not for me
BUT. Getting more effects is still cool, and I can sell mine to those who would enjoy them more than myself lol I can imagine the boot_dragon(green) effect is a godsend to anyone who loves that kind of vibe (also, the "green" specification makes me wonder if other colours may be in store)

this ^^ i feel like i'd be less meh about the april fool gimmick if the announcement post hadn't been like "quality of life updates.... PSYCH" mostly bc that was a big complaint when effects came out that staff was doing that instead of say, a dark mode. feels just a hair on the side of petty.
(also called it last night on the prank being effect themed)

dither is kinda THE BEST and i wonder if anything could top it in the future
HOnestly I only love one of them. I just prefer more subtle things. I'm the same with apparel and accents vs. skins. I love pretty dragons and I like things that emphasize the pretty, not things that hide it.
I do like Dither, though.
Here is Hal.

I like the static effects MUCH better!! I was admittedly disappointed that the april fool's day was centered around effects because I did not like them at all when they released, but I'm way less put off by them when they aren't animated. I think they fit with the dragon art much better and I can see myself actually using them now!
I'm very happy that staff listened and introduced more subdued effects (or at least planned a variety from the beginning!)

Yeah, I wasn't really into the effects when they dropped because of how most of them totally cover up the dragon's defining features and are super tacky ect but I LOVE that we're getting glitchy and retro computer style effects, I hope they make more like these. Them not being animated helps a lot too. I can see myself buying some dragons just to use with the effects, and diffused dither works perfectly for my glitchy coatl.
Every year I look forward to flight rising's April fools shenanigans and this year I'm pretty thrilled, I love the glitch aesthetic! [emoji=obelisk star size=1]
Edit: look at my glitchy boy.

I decided to sell mine since I don't really have any dragons I felt they worked on, but they're pretty neat!
And I think it's good we have some that aren't animated so that the people who felt left out on the first release can still use them without any issues of having to toggle extra settings.
