Players are limited to 6 active primary characters at a time! You can have as many concepts in the wings as you wish. If you're at capacity for active characters, swapping them out will require one or more of your current active characters to narratively retire in some way.
Depending on what's happening at the time in the roleplay, you may have to wait for an opportunity to have them go missing, die, or otherwise leave the story. This should not be a decision made lightly. There will be a cool-down period for swapping characters, to be determined depending on how often players are wanting to switch characters.
This is to prevent the cast from being too bloated or a revolving door of characters, but to not hamper players who enjoy having more than one or two active characters at a time!
There is a limit of 2 to 3 playable raven characters overall, not per-player. Ravens are plot relevant & scared to wolf culture, hence why they're so limited as a playable species!

Characters must have at least semi-realistic designs, but may have genetically impossible/unique colors, markings, & features. This simply means neon or overly saturated colors & geometrically perfect markings are a no-go.
For example; your character could have a heart-shaped marking or two, but couldn't be covered in them like a tile pattern. They could be a sort of pinkish brown or purple-gray, but not flat out pink or purple.
Eye color is pretty much free game. If you'd like for your character to have purple eyes, gold & red bi-colored, or whatever else you deem fitting for their design, go ham!

Wolf-dog hybrids born or raised within a pack of wolves are limited to being higher wolf content hybrids. Since the majority of wolf culture scorns domestic dogs due to their connection with humans, any pups with overtly domestic dog traits would very much be culled early or abandoned in the wastes. It's extremely unlikely any abandoned pups would be found by anyone willing to take care of them. Depending on the pack & location, a parent would have a limited window to escape with or save any such pups... if, that is, they were spared from a similar fate despite birthing "cursed" offspring.
Wolf-dogs born within a city, away from a wolf pack, may be of any content amount.

Name: "Wild"
Age: Equivalent of Older Teenager
Gender: Agender
Pronouns: he/him
Species: Wolf
Orientation: Grayromantic
Personality
Despite his name, Wild actually has quite the tranquil disposition. He appears always prepared, composed, unbothered, and confident, rarely getting overly excited about anything. At worst, he comes off as aloof and distant, plowing ahead impulsively and never looking back. In reality, Wild is hyper-vigilant, keyed up almost all the time. He has a strong sense of intuition, able to analyze and react quickly in any given situation. His methods are often unorthodox and strange to others, but they make sense to him.
His social skills are a little skewed, but Wild often finds himself as an unwitting mediator. He doesn't seek out conflict or drama, but he has a knack for smoothing fur and calming others down. He also has a gallant heart, dauntless in the face of strife and adversity. That's a double edged sword, and Wild usually keeps the sharper edge to his own throat. He is incredibly self-sacrificing, often to the point of impracticality. Wild's sense of self-preservation is near nonexistent, and he'll gladly crash himself into mortal danger if it means keeping others safe.
|
Physical Appearance
Visually striking, Wild's medium-short fur is a reddish-brown, with darker brown border markings. His face, ears, gradient sock markings, neck, back, shoulders, hips, and tail, are all a dark black-brown.
He has a pale tan marking that encircles his neck like a collar, and rim-stocking markings on the back of his legs of the same color. His chin, lower chest, and under eyes are also a pale tan. He has a light, peach-tan snip on the bridge of his nose, and a fleck of peach-tan ticking just behind his shoulders. Wild's eyes are a soft honey-gold.
Wild is about 30" inches at the shoulder, and looks healthy enough for a street-dweller. His fur is typically a little grungy, and thus gives him a somewhat "spiky" look.
Background
content warnings for... animal abuse, dog fighting, violence.
Wild is born in a dome-city, the only surviving pup of his litter. His memories during this time are blurry, burned at the edges like a bad photograph. He isn't sure exactly when or how the humans took him. He had just started eating solids, all long-limbed, sections of puppy fuzz still clinging to his coat. All he really knows is they find him, catch him, and take him to a cave full of creatures like yet unlike him.
He learns these creatures are "dogs." They speak and move in a language he can't understand, but so many of them clearly yearn for nothing but bloodshed. The humans make him fight the dogs, seemingly for nothing more than their amusement. He can't comprehend the exchanging of money, the bets, the business. Fight nights are loud, sensory hells, people cheering on the reigning champion that he is.
And one day, everything erupts into chaos; new humans storm the cave, attack the regulars and the ring-leaders. Cages get knocked over, dogs break loose, and Wild's cage sits open. So he runs.
He doesn't stop running until his legs collapse under him. It takes a while for him to come to terms with his new freedom, but he learns how to scavenge, how to avoid humans and dogs alike.
Why do you search for Yggdrasil?
"..."
Trivia
- Dislikes monotonous routine and being idle. Actively tries to do at least two or three different things per-week — if not per-day.
- Fear response is fight; will bite/nip if you catch him off guard.
- Deals with selective mutism.
- Main trigger is the smell of cigars.
- Has never seen another wolf, aside from his parent. Though he doesn't remember much of anything about them.
