TOPIC | Craft Arts?
I recently finished work on a doll I'm proud of-- especially since I haven't made many plushies, and haven't made any in months-- so now I've been thinking. Anyone have any craft based art they've been working on? Fiber arts, sculpting, papercraft, wood, resin, etc?

Happy to show off mine, but I'd love to see if others have some work to show first lol

My sisters and I crochet! I mostly do video game dolls, but my present project is a reindeer I'm procrastinating on. lol I'm currently on my laptop so I don't have access to my pictures, but I can post one later. (Not of the reindeer, he's in a bunch of pieces)

Show us your doll!

Smh I can't believe no pictures haha I spent three weeks on this thing! (And need to repair it now because I had a flight yesterday and it didn't handle travel the best lol) It was largely an experiment, I've not done a project so complicated before

D'awwww he looks so cute and huggable! Amazing work on this; his face is adorable, the bell and chain pieces look great, I like the little embroidery details on his boots, his tiny beard is cute, and that little slime thing is adorable, too! (I don't know if the slime is a part of this, but it needs to be said lol)

Haha! So yeah, Faust is my dnd character. One of the other characters is Icon, a blue plasmoid. I like to doodle session events, and the rest of the group compared one of the faces I did for them to a shiny ditto. So that little slime Is this character Bonus, the face in question: The ditto was actually really hard to make! It's really small, and the fabric I had was extremely thin and fuzzy. I couldn't stuff it too much, and essentially had to shave it to ensure the shape could be seen lol

lol I thought it looked like a Ditto! But yeah, going by the picture I'd assume the Ditto doll is only about an inch-and-a-half high? I like to crochet small things, but that's suuuuper tiny! (And I'm scared of sewing machines so I hope that was hand sewn lol)

I like Icon's art btw!

@TigerFestival thanks lol

Yeah, I never actually learned how to use a sewing machine until like... two? Two and a half? Weeks ago, so the only thing that's actually machine sewn is the light purple clothes for the Faust doll, and the hat. I did those as practice and then went back to the hand sewing lol. And even then, the hems on the shirt and pants are hand stitched.

I can see how a sewing machine would be scary. My thing is I know it would benefit me in the long run to learn and practice more, it cuts down time by a LOT, especially if I'm making something as big as that doll or bigger. But I'm stubborn, I learned to hand sew when I was like... ten at most lol, so it's an adjustment.
