We haven't even seen it yet, we have no idea what it's going to look like.
I mean I'm always down for cool or majestic over silly like Aethers, (they just didn't vibe with my lair I think they're neat conceptually)
But to be fair, we do have Pearlcatchers and Imperials? Imperials are legitimately the most rare breed on the site, and Light has the rarest fest items consistently.
Maybe something cute is exactly what the dr ordered?

honestly on some level i get it, bc i also wanted a serious breed for arcane's ancient, but given that imps and pearlcatchers already exist... idk light could use some diversity into the silly zone a little imo lmao

I don't think they'll retcon imps. I think it goes a little something like this:
*Lightweaver, wracking her brain to try and find a way to remedy imps soon after she realized her failure and trying to make a "first breed" (imps are already made)*

Im just waiting until the reveal before commenting. Im sure the devs have something great in store that they've put a lot of hard work into and i cant wait to see what it is.

I’m not a super big ancient fan so I’m neutral on another one.
Mostly I’m amused and baffled. A very vocal minority of the FR community has been begging for a weird fat bug dragon. Obviously with the teaser it’s hard to tell for sure what the dragon will be. But like, it’s clearly got a good shot of being a fat weird bug.
And yet people are still upset? So what if it’s Light flight? This is what people wanted. There are plenty of other moderns and ancients, and there will be plenty more. Let the people have their thicc wyrm. Not every dragon has to be everyone’s cup of tea (obviously it is okay for people to voice their opinions and concerns I merely think it’s funny that it looks like devs are directly trying to accommodate what has very clearly been a demand for a long time and still have people say ‘I wanted a thing but not like this’)

My only fear is it will be a moth dragon, moths are drawn to light, and the rivalry with the "bugs" from Shadow. It is fine on its own but we have two bug-adjacent dragons already!
Never been a big fan of the stereotype of chubby dragons in media so this one won't be high on my list. It's fine, not everything has to caste to my taste.

Agreeing with this. I think Imps will be made first, she makes the new ancient, gets disappointed and vaults them so you don't get ancient Luminax's running around, Pearlcatchers release, Ancient is unvaulted.
So they're still being uncovered in some way.
