People need to stop fear mongering.yes, its bad here but life isn't over.We said the same thing in 2016 and we survived,Yes?If anyone needs someone to talk too i'm here. Besides me trying to stay strong/positive yeah our country is going to get pretty bad.

He was inept then and has since learned, to the detriment of everyone. All venues have been swept by them. They have a literal, published playbook of over 900 pages that states everything they intend to do within exacting detail and have already put numerous people into place to do exactly that.
It isn't fear mongering when the promises that have been made are going to be kept, unless something both radical and miraculous occurs.
Don't sweep away or dismiss other peoples valid fears.
That response aside, I am primarily numb and periodically vacillate between terror and blinding fury. As dark as it is to say, I'm glad my dad died on the 18th of October as he at least had hope. If he had seen how this election had turned out it he would have died in despair. It also doesn't help that my mum and I live in a deep red state that has already enacted laws trying to eradicate people like me, as well as what the Orange Menace intends to do with anyone who is disabled and further requires medical care to survive, given who he put in place.

not doing well.
went from panicked to hopeless to numb and am now starting to just quietly seethe. not going to let this beat me or break me, we're going to sharpen our teeth and try to weather whatever storm might come. not giving anyone like that the satisfaction of breaking me down, so i have to keep pushing to be stronger instead.

I'm not from the USA but I feel for every single one of you. It's scary to watch. I have American friends and I'm worried for them.
That being said.. please do take care of yourself and your loved ones. Take a break, stay hydrated. You are loved. You deserve to exist. You can get through this. Even if you have to stay low. There are things you can still fight for.
Sending everyone virtual hugs. Stay strong. [emoji=heart size=1]

Oh I am swell and its interesting seeing all the stuff being posted online. Stay informed and just remember you're not gonna die due to this occurrence.
Also I agree with this person's message 100 percent.

It really doesn't matter who the president is. This country sucks and my children and I all want to leave and have wanted to do so for years.
It isn't the country. It isn't the president. It is the people in the country.
This country is so far behind other first world countries socially it has become ridiculous. Women in particular are treated poorly, in my opinion. As a woman, I am so. damn. tired of being expected to do every-freakin'-thing. I want to complain and complain and complain, but what good does it do?
Anyway. Just had to get my two cents out that who the president is or is not doesn't change the fundamentally flawed societal norms and toxic mentalities we're surrounded by. Like... we don't need to reform the government. We need to reform ourselves.

Thank you. I asked a friend if it’s wrong for me to hope and he said that it wasn’t. In my opinion hope is only gone when no one believes in it. When we stop believing in any small amount of hope, then they’ve truly won.

(Farnsworth Impression) I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.
I WOULD be trying for Australia or New Zealand if it weren’t for the extremely strict immigration laws regarding disability. I hope that my Spanish gets good enough for me to eventually move somewhere better than the USA but I doubt it. Otherwise, my best bet rn is Canada. Which. Isn’t much better, but it’s not here. Before that I figured I could go to Massachusetts. Now, that plan seems… like not a plan. Also hoping that when stuff gets horrible countries will start opening up for asylum for folks like me, but I sadly doubt it so. Don’t know what to do here. Live on a boat in international waters? I don’t like going on boats without wifi but I guess it’s technically possible. There’s also going back up to Alaska and going remote like a lot of people do to avoid the feds, but my mom’s seasonal depression would get bad again and I don’t want that. Maybe finding a remote cave somewhere in the Appalachians and living there. Caves aren’t the safest but if I keep to around the mouth of it I should be fine. There are other options out there, I’m sure. Maybe I could get put into a medically induced coma for science to wait stuff out until it gets better? Honk shoo mimimi for some years or so?
