anyone here play it or read the comics? do you have a main, how many hours, etc? favorite character?

for me, i started off as a medic main then went engineer > scout > spy > heavy. sniper is my secondary, i've got a little over 3.7k hours, 600ish of which are on heavy. my favorite characters are heavy, engineer, and merasmus. i live and breathe scream fortress even though all my friends hate it i love halloween maps and being evil with the spells

I love the TF2 franchise! (I do come back to it every once in a while, but it's filled with love!)It ironically was what made me get a steam account back about 6 years ago! I can't play it very often because my laptop is mainly designed for work and not for intense gameplay(I'd love to play more but I can't without my laptop burning up :/) but I love the comics and characters! I don't really have a favorite but I like the group dynamic they have! It's very fun!
What I really like is how goofy the game is, like the details are off the walls like... Whenever I think about it I chuckle

I used to be a Soldier main, but since switching Steam accounts I haven't felt like starting it again. It's a lot of fun, but it's a lot. My Steam library is overfilled, maybe I get back into it when I have more time to game in general. I only played Payload tbh, before Solider my main was Demo. Other than that I played Engineer, Sniper and Medic. Usually based on what my team needed, but I'm a bad Medic and people get mad at bad Medics so I rarely played it once I "got good". [emoji=dusthide size=1] I just love Solider. It's straight forward, I just have to aim at people's feet and can do damage to buildings from far away. Finding the right spot to do the latter always felt so satisfying. When I started playing I went with Pyro because I love fire damage, but it felt a bit unfair to me. I still think fire damage is overpowered, I haven't played in years but I think at the very least the fire should stop once that Pyro died. But I don't know if things have been tweaked since I stopped playing. I think I had like 500 hours in it, so not too much. When I was younger I would usually play for like 30 minutes before dinner and then play something different afterwards. But I definitely have a lot of fond memories about it.

Ha, anyways, yes, I am a huge Team Fortress 2 fan and have been playing it nearly on the regular since May 2012. I am a filthy Pyro main with Medic as my secondary (if you count hours played). Got 2,942 hours in total, with almost 1,000 hours in as the Pyro alone. I have two Unusual hats and one self-earned Australium weapon.

And, randomly, my third tattoo is of the Pyro on my right calf.

Am I good at any of this? Not entirely, but I have loads of fun! Enough to have kept me entertained dang nearly 12 years!

Haven't played this one in quite a long time. And kinda holding off at the moment, because there's a severe bot problem at the moment?

Anyway, I played all the classes a lot. Spy and Sniper only rarely, because I'm not great as them, but between the others, I main kept flip-flopping. I think last time I played, I had a Demoman phase. He's fun.

I can't pick a favourite character, because they're all great, and as someone else said above, the group dynamic is really what makes them. I should re-read the comics. There's probably new ones I haven't seen yet, too.

Oh man, I love tf2 to an unhealthy amount (it literally took over my life in high school, I would bring my laptop to play during classes instead of work sometimes). I got to reread the comics and every now and then i play, but I kind of miss 2012-2015 tf2? I was really into the economy and trading.

I played Highlander amateur or something once as Scout, our team ended up winning because two of three games the other teams failed to show?? Or something along the line, it was a long time ago ahah

I still cosplay blu scout sometimes because it's easy and comfortable and also as a Scout main, i gotta represent. I've actually been seeing some more tf2 cosplays lately, I think people are getting nostalgic or something! I love it

I've never played because I'm bad at gun games but I've read the comics and I watch all the Meet The videos at least once a year. My favourite character is Pyro, closely followed by Miss Pauling, but I love all the classes, they're funny silly guys! I think if I were to rank the classes myself (not based on any gameplay factors) I'd go Pyro, Medic, Engineer, Sniper, Scout, Spy, Demo, Heavy, Soldier but they can move and shift depending on how I feel on the day.

I've never played TF2 bc I don't have a PC but I'd definitely try to play it if possible. Personality wise, ngl, I like scout quite a bit actually

oh i'm a bit late to this but... gestures to my profile. im definitely a tf2 fan!! got into the franchise sometime in 2022 and i've been obsessed ever since lol. i havent played much recently, but all the times ive played have been so fun! i don't think i have a specific main but pyro, soldier, demo and heavy are fun to play! scream fortress my beloved, i cant believe they made an already silly game so much sillier in the halloween modes lol. i absolutely love the comics and tf2's story in general, they're so silly and i mourn the 7th comic everyday </3 my favourite character is spy, i think the 'better-than-you gentleman' act is funny because it's obvious he's no better than the rest of them despite his massive ego lol, but they all take up a large space in my mind to be honest, i could talk about each of them for hours and not get bored! they have so much character put into them all the while being from a silly war-themed hat simulator, its just so fun to think about all their little oddities. needless to say they've totally given me brainworms. naturally i've made fandragons for them all too (my pfp is my pyro fandragon! they were very expensive lol) and they're my absolute pride and joy. i'm working on making the mann brothers currently, then probably moving onto saxton hale or other characters from the comics.
