TOPIC | Are dusthides the only dragons where
the primary gene affects the back of the wings like this? A lot of breeds have the wing style of thinner webbing (secondary) between opaque fingers (primary). I thought Obelisks also had the primary on the back of the wing, but it's also just on the finger/arm part of the wing, they just happen to have much scalier wings than average.

It's because they roll up and use their wings to hold up tunnels. If they weren't covered they'd probably just rip up their wings every time they did it
