I have two different dragons I may propose, as a fellow lore enjoyer it would be nice to see them grow from here! I am very attached to dragons from years past and if they are no longer wanted I would like them to return home instead of being exalted. Especially since I will never breed any of them ever again and these are the only two of Perun's offspring left.
If my own lair lore interests you I am more than open to collaborate in other ways <3
Most of this is retold in passing to friends on discord and scattered as artwork in notebooks which I plan to integrate at some point but:
An age ago Perun and Syracuse founded the Clan of Claws, a pastoralist culture of dragons who move with good weather and the bounty of the Sourthern Icefield. For over a century this lifestyle persisted, the natural hazards of the Icewarden's realm would take lives, and in turn the Claws would adopt and care for stragglers in the storm of which several would come to stay. (reflective of me still exalting resident dragons at the time) One particular rescued imperial from the earlier years would come under the mentorship of Perun, changing the course of clan history.
Her closest confidant, the young Skorn was intelligent- an apt source of advice and trusted with many a decision. He viewed Perun like his mother and teacher, though in the midst of difficult calls there were times the imperial thought her judgement was questionable.
A particularly harsh winter hits the tundra, and the Claws shelter within a great cavern- which one day would become the city of Greygully. Months of living off the underground ravine brought to light insightful topics, an eventual catalyst for the dissolution of the Claws who did not want to return to the risks of their nomadic ways. Skorn elects to voice his concerns privately to his leader, unfortunately only one of them return during a catastrophic cave-in. Without Perun, Skorn takes the mantle of leading them into the age of Greygully, a cavern-wide city in the modern day.
Plague, Perun's widowed 3rd husband heads what was left of the Claws who refused to settle for that life. In honor of Perun he and his watch over from the outskirts of Greygully to protect the people she had once presided over. In recent years, the mysterious properties of the great river bring to light horrific implications... and the plot thickens!
Phanthom [8 yrs old, firstborn, sole progxprog remaining, has offspring]
His parents never really got along- together for mutual benefit and going their separate ways relationally once the clan had made a foothold. Though Syracuse and Perun are beloved historical figures he is more of a footnote in Greygully's history. I am not exactly sure what his specific reasons would be for leaving home, though I would imagine him insecure in his relationship to the both of them.
