Yess just got a XYY

It would be fun to see more that really really push what shapes a dragon can be, but I will say that the intent of ancient dragons wasn't JUST to break the body plan template, but really more to allow new breeds to release more often. It was always a compromise, but I mean, I took a two-year hiatus after the Obelisk happened and came back to like SIX new breeds, and that's awesome.

Banescale are wyverns and only have hind legs. Veilspun have 4 wings. Aberrations have 2 heads and 2 tails. Undertides have fins instead of legs. Aether have 4 wings and 6 legs. Just take away the itty bitty extra legs that you have to squint to see and it's literally a Modern. The only dragons that don't fit into the Modern physiology is Banescale, Undertide and Auraboa. [/quote] Well, you tell me. Why, for example, is a Veilspun an Ancient but not a Modern? What truly differentiates it enough for it to be considered an Ancient breed? That's the issue I have with Ancients. They said with Ancients they could incorporate all kinds of kinds of body types and yet the majority follows the same body type that Moderns follow. Moderns HAVE to follow a specific design principle because of apparel. Ancients, however, do not wear apparel and are free from these restrictions. So the staff can go as ham as they desire on their design (not that I'm asking for something Truly Out There), but what they keep giving us is literally Moderns just repackaged as Ancients. Do I make any sense. I don't know lol.
