TOPIC | Why are Antlers tangled up like that?

I think it's just a tangent line from the small tine of one antler being too close to the far main antler. It's not actually tangled. What looks like the tip of the tine going under the far antler is just a smaller tine growing out of it.

I think the tines are mirrored/matching pretty much exactly on each antler, they are separate if you look very very closely, (I think at least). But the art could do with some clarification, like if the forefront prong was a little taller or pointing out at a different angle
