This is my first time dealing with this as I was lucky and got a male and female auraboa. How do people resolve this usually? Is trading allowed? Or do I just wait and buy a male? Really happy with the coloration on both.

There's a swap thread over in Dragon Trading if you're interested in trading one of your dragons for a male. Or if you're in love with both sets of colors, you could save up for a Silhouette Scroll and swap one of their poses!

Some players don't breed as well! This was the 1st time I got ancients from the same flight as their origin & happen to be diff. genders. But I'm viewing them as siblings for my lore.
