The inside of the store was a lot quieter than the bustle of life outside. There was a gentle mutter, people speaking in softer tones even though there was really no need for it. Soft music played and even the lights were less harsh. It was a welcoming environment above the traditional grocery store, Kai draping his coat over the edge of the cart as he adjusted the glasses on his face. He didn’t need them like most people, but they did make reading easier. Something that had carried with him from when he wasn’t immortal. Granted, his eyesight never got worse considering his body healed itself now. A strange place to be but one he had grown accustomed to.
He ventured forward, stopping first by the spices. It was a wonderful aroma there, Kai pulling out his empty spice bottles as he looked for exactly what he wanted. He needed more paprika and definitely would be looking into some thyme. Then there was of course mustard seed that they had a full bin of. Perhaps he should get some of that. It would pair wonderfully with some duck and a nice salad. A thoughtful hum left the man as he stood there, pondering over what he wanted to do.
