I look for a moment looking for a place to hide, and find a storage closet attached to the hallway. I duck inside and see that it is full of crates, and looking inside one, it is the dried lizards from earlier. I hide in the back of the room, hidden from anyone who would come in.

Sunset waved, glancing at the familiar hybrid with no hostility in her gaze before walking off. "They did say something about Vypre, probably who they're here for." She thought. She sighed when she got away from the area, only to be pinned to the wall by Quicksand. Wonderful.

"Thank you" I call to the SandWing and turn and walk back toward the tower. When I get inside though, I realize I have no idea where any medical wing or nurse would be, and I shake my head.

"Oh well, I will just study the poison myself." I mutter

I walk back to my room and approach the crown sitting on my table, for the prince had let me keep it for the poison, saying that he couldn't wear it right now anyway. I flip the lever to reveal the needle, and try to think of how I could get the poison out. I didn't want to break the crown in case the prince wanted it back, however I still needed the poison.

I try to grab the needle and pull it out, but it doesn't budge. I try twisting it, and to my surprise, the needle slides out easily. but when it does, some of the black poison spills out on my talon. I jump back, and quickly wash it off, being careful to not drip it everywhere. After I wash the toxin off, I look at my talon. at first I don't see anything different, but as I keep watching it, my scales begin to flake off one by one and fall to the floor. I watch in horrified amazement as the scales protecting my talon shed away leaving my unprotected bare skin underneath.

"W-what the?" I ask in wonder. My claws too were beginning to crack. I have never seen anything like this. Why didn't this happen to the queen? What is this poison?

I exit my room and begin looking for someone to help me. The poison wasn't stopping and was still eating away at my scales and talons, but has thankfully left my soft flesh unharmed so far. It was hard to walk on my tender skin without any scales to protect it and I limped through the hallway and calling out for help, and almost immediately someone stopped me.

"what's wrong? THREE MOONS! What happened to your talon?" she yelped.

"There was a poison I was trying to study and it got on me, where can I see a physician?" I ask

"This way, follow me" she tells me and guides me down the hall toward what I hope is someone who could help me.

Sunset tried to ignore how Quicksand growled loudly in her face. "Stay away from me." Sunset hissed. "Unfortunately I cannot do that. an animus is dangerous. Best to kill them off..." Quicksand growled angrily. Sunset felt her mode of self defense kick in and she punched Sunset away. "You will do no such thing, STAY AWAY!" Sunset yowled. She managed to barely avoid Quicksand's barb as she slid away in a panic, running down the hallway quickly

As soon as the two Sandwings guards faced off, all thoughts of going to try and talk to Vypre very quickly evaporated in a haze of panic. Abyssal quickly dodged into a hallway, then watched as Vypre walked past. He hissed out a soft curse, shaking his head before going and after the Sandwing healer. After a few turns, he lost sight of Vypre, knocking into some other Sandwing. He apologized profusely, but by the time he looked up again, Vypre was gone.

With a quiet groan, Abyssal just about gave up. He started turning to go back to Soul when he reminded himself of the wound in her side. She needed a healer and him being a coward wasn't going to stop that. So he pressed on, despite the nerves writhing in his stomach like an angry eel.

He wandered around for another couple of minutes before hopping out of the way when a couple other dragons rushed past. A bit belatedly, he realized he'd once again just missed Vypre. This time he did a better job of tailing him. They seemed rather panicked, but for Soul's sake he couldn't let Vypre get away again.

Sunset hurried out to the courtyard and hid carefully, a little wary now because of Quicksand. Sunset panted. "Oh three moons, this is a disaster." Sunset muttered. She rubbed her head in frustration.

The dragon quickly rushes me to the medical wing, where I see several dragons walking about, tending to patents, which there weren't many of. At the front of the room, there was a small SandWing behind a desk, which my guide headed toward, and I followed.

"hello" she said "this dragon needs medical help immediately, something went wrong with his talon"

"Of course, we are open right now, what is the nature of your injury?" The dragon at the desk asked

"I was working with Prince Anubis to learn more about the death of the queen, and I found a poison that did this to my talon." I said, showing her my talon. I was acting a lot more calm than I was. Internally, I was terrified. What if my scales and claws wouldn't grow back? could I continue to do my work?

"Oh my!" she gasped "Treehopper! Come look at this!" she called to one of the dragons in the small hospital. To my surprise, a HiveWing came forward.

"Yes? what is it?" he asked.

"Can you help this dragon?" the Sandwing at the desk inquired.

"Oh, I haven't seen anything like that, what caused it?" Treehopper wanted to know

"I am going to guess acid, although it didn't touch my flesh, only my scales."

"Can I see the acid?" Treehopper asked.

"Sure, it is in the room I was just given" I responded.

"I can go get it." The SandWing who had escorted me said, then she darted off.

Sunset yelped in alarm as a tail barb slammed near her shoulder, Quicksand's tail barb. "What is your deal?!" Sunset cried out. "You're an animus, for all we know, you could be soulless already. Best to...remove you from the equation. " Quicksand growled, his tail snaking the ground. Sunset was backed in a corner, stuck.

(Forgive me, I have summer camp later today and won't be back for a week. Summer be like: :/)

Abyssal watched Vypre walk in through a door and disappear into what seemed to be a rather busy room. And cornering himself in such a place while following him wasn't a great idea at all. As a dragon stepped out he took the opportunity to peek in and noticed that it looked like some sort of clinic or medical place or something.

He realized that in a worst case scenario, he could just bring Soul here and come up with some story as to what happened and why they were in there. After all, they were in a Sandwing palace, accidental barb wounds had to happen at least sometimes, right? Though he'd prefer to just get Vypre.

It took a moment for Abyssal to spot some crates resting on the outside. One was partially open and, in his extremely unprofessional opinion, it seemed to contain some small packages containing doses of medicinal herbs. He stepped over and noticed bandaged underneath. A plan started brewing in his mind.

Scooping up a good bit of the supplies, he straightened his wings and stepped into the room. Vypre was a little bit back with... was that a Hivewing? A chipper voice from the front desk brought him back to reality.

"Hi, can I help you?" A small Sandwing asked him curiously.

"Uh, yeah, I was told to bring some of these supplies in, one of the healers was running low and asked for help." He replied, dearly hoping that with everything going on, Vypre would notice and recognize him.

While hiding in the storage closet, I hear a thud from outside. I hold my breath as I hear one dragon hiss at the other. I am worried that Abyssal had been caught, so I quietly open the door and see that it was two SandWing guards fighting with each other. I am closing the door when I see that the one pined to the wall was the dragon that spared Abyssal and I before. And now she was probably going to die for it.

opposite to my better judgement I leap out from my hiding place at the fighting dragons, for I wasn't going to let my savior die for saving me. I sink my fangs into her attackers neck, then wrap my tail around his, and pinned it to the floor. I also grabbed his right wing pushed it up and forward dislocating it, I do all of this before he could react to stop me, one of the perks of being on my own for so long I guess.

(Vypre)

As Treehopper and I studied my talon, looking for any sign of what the poison could possibly be, I was also recounting what I had found on the Queens body.

"Interesting, I don't see any of the same things happening here. And it didn't hurt to have your scales and claws fall off?" Treehopper asks me

"No, I don't feel any pain, although I can still feel things through my skin" I tell him.

"Weird, I have never seen anything like this" Treehopper says "I don't think I can help you, sorry"

"It's fine, I really didn't expect you to" I let him know "I have another friend back home who might be able to help me"

Just then, the SandWing came back holding the crown "I think this is what had the poison in it, although I don't know why you would have the crown or why it would be poisoned oh I hope this isn't stolen or I will be in big trouble" she stammers while she walks in, and right behind her I see the hybrid from back in Possibility. why is he here?

Oh no, if he is here, then Soul probably is too, and she is probably who set off the alarm. Mabey I can talk to the Prince to get her out of jail. I hope that she is okay

"Yes, that has the poison in it, thank you for bringing it" I say to the SandWing who got it. Honestly I am surprised she wasn't arrested for having it.

I stand up and walk over to get the crown and end up standing right next to the hybrid

"hello, I wasn't expecting to see you again" I say in as cheery of a voice that I could as to make sure he wouldn't jump away. Our previous meeting did not make a good first impression.

((also, I am going to be gone for the next two weeks :( I am on a backpacking trip and will be gone until Tuesday the 8th. sorry everyone. I don't want this to die, so if you want to take control of my dragons to keep the story moving, please do))
