A week would be fine, yeah. I check in with people about after 1 - 2 weeks if I haven't heard back from them, just to see if they've run into Life Stuff and need to bow out, but if they need more time that's usually okay.
Since you've been sending all of your CRs as one-way anyway, you might want to use PM attachments instead to avoid the risk of overlap.
