TOPIC | Questioning:Pursuit "Buy Raffle Tickets&
There's a life outside of a petsite, where certain behaviours can still be affected by options implememted on said petsites.

Yes, if I not wanna do a Task, I not do it. That's what I do (not) at the moment, actually!
If you not can equally do each and every task alike, the fairness of a challenge like the Pursuits is tainted, even if I compare my efforts to noone but myself.

So whatever approach I go by, be it collecting all the points, or completing every single given task, or just taking track of my daily efforts and their success or failure: it makes no difference.

If one of the tasks prompts users to partake in a certain activity, and if that activity is exposuring me (and potentially other people too, I'd assume) to a risk outside of the game's borders, it makes this task stand out from the equality in a notable, negative and unnecessary way.

I won't go further into details. It should not be that hard to make sense of it anyways.
Very technically, it also messes with the chance percentages of that game of luck, if the host who provides the prices and cashes in the profits (even if here it's just a money sink, not so much any actual income for the host) also pays users to participate. Even though without that payment, a good number of them would possibly not play the game that way. (But of course that's just some funny math, and boring.)
That all said, while I myself still think it's a really crooked task, I would care a lot less if I had build-in mechanics allowing me to just ask for a replacement, for example with a new roll.

This still would not make the Pursuit Tasks all equal again, as I would have the chance to just roll the same task again, even more than once, even until all re-roll chances are used up. And probably the rolls would also cost currency. That's still truly minor issues though and I'd take up to this option and call it a day.

Sadly, a re-roll mechanic would obviously also offer the option to easily chicken out of other tasks, which actually changes the whole approach on the pursuits. Still would take it and call it a day..!
Please think about how, or if at all, you are telling me to let everyone play the game as they want and that my issue is no issue, and what to do to avoid encountering it. Because by doing so you at least partially tell me how I am meant to play the game in your opinion. I not ask for opinions on my playing style, but on the task. And for suggestions of how -if you see the necessity like I do- to make changes to it.

I won't change my general way to play the game just to go out of my way in order to unsee this mistake, and I not ask for suggestions of how I could do that.

I not mind the restrictions and rules and limitations of a game -and ultimately a petsite is a game. All these things are part of it all and make it fun and unique. I well-adjusted my own way to play the game to these circumstances and enjoy my own little chaos-side on here just as it is.

The important point, however, is: A game must stay within it's own environment's borders. Which this task does not. It carelessly crosses over and influences a way to live a life. It's probably unintentionally, but it does.

"it's a crooked task" it really isn't - i think you might be blowing this way out of proportion

like a reroll would be great but you're taking your personal issues out on something that isn't really a problem in the long run

just don't do the pursuit it's really that simple...

there's a bunch of achievements/pursuits that people can't or arent willing to do for one reason or another. some people can't coli because of physical reasons, if you play on a phone some of the fairgrounds games arent really playable, some people dont want to exalt a dragon ever, etc. it would negatively impact the player base to remove all these tasks for the sake of the few who cant do them, and removing them would have very little positive impact, just letting a handful of players earn a couple extra nonsense points per month.
its completely valid to feel bad that you cant complete all the tasks, but you shouldnt expect the game to change to fit your preferred playstyle.

As far as I'm aware of it, "crooked" literally means "bent", and in an indirect way that's meaning it is different than the things it is compared to.

I'm blowing it nowhere, it's just my style to write, I assume, that makes you think so. I repeat things I initially said, in an effort to word them more clearly. I also reply to things others say, just like in a discussion for example.

It is a personal issue, but not an exclusive issue, and I happen to think noone here will see the actual "long run" of anyone affected by this thing that's not a problem to some, but might still be a problem to others, even some who are not-me.

Not doing the pursuit, as written in the post right above yours, even right at the beginning and not somewhere lost in the wall of text right below, is exactly what I currently do, or not do, however you look at it.

the more you keep doubling down the more it makes it look like you're blowing it out of proportion, is the problem

also you know you're not fooling anyone by saying you think the definition of crooked in this conversation is being used to mean "bent" - you are very obviously using the definition where it is "illegal, dishonest" please don't act like we're children

the issue you're having with the pursuits is a personal one - yeah it can impact other people but like... the answer is to just not do it

roundsey isn't gambling, entering a raffle isn't gambling - this is a zero point issue, literally all you have to do is spend 500t to buy one ticket and get the pursuit

you cant spare 500t? you can get that extremely easily

you're blowing the situation out of proportion

I think calling the task dishonest or illegal (the informal meaning of ‘crooked’ that you clearly intended unless you can explain how the task is somehow not physically aligned) is blowing it a long way out of proportion, yes.

Everyone will have some pursuits they can’t or shouldn’t do for physical or psychological reasons. That should not result in every single one of those tasks being removed from the game, just as a person with an eating disorder cannot expect all food triggers and food-related social events to be removed from the world. Just don’t do that pursuit. Move on.

There's technically also other spending tasks such as "Brew 1 recipe at Baldwin's Bubbling Brew" and "Purchase 12 items from the Marketplace." Baldwin doesn't have to be a lot, but it does also cost treasure for those who struggle to save up. Should these go away as well? Roundsey does take in a gambling mechanic, that's true though. The other tasks does give you things in the end for doing them (outside of Pursuit rewards).

In the end, there's always Pursuit tasks that may just be out of your range of things to do. It's up to you to decide whether these tasks are worth finishing or not. You may have to skip or wait until Wednesday-Saturday to finish the weekly Roundsey tasks. Rerolls can be nice, but for some, it may not do too much. I won't mind seeing rerolls though. You can always get tokens, just possibly slower if you decide to skip some things. I'm an impulse spender in FR, but I know that's certainly my fault and I wouldn't really blame Flight Rising for it. That's something I need to approach myself.

you dont have to do it all, ESP NoT when it goes against your rules and gameplay. game shouldnt change because of the way few users play it differently. "but I am completionist!" that is your problem and I dont think game should change because of that (said by someone who wants to get most achievements, but I dont wanna push too much of my gameplay ways)

if we gonna go like fhis, we will need to remove ALL pursuits as each goes against someone's way of playing

So, because you aren't willing to do this pursuit, it should be removed from everyone's pool?

Well, I don't breed because I like my dragons being unbred, someone in the thread said that they cannot play Jigsaw and I'm sure there are people who do not exalt, or do not bond.

Should we remove these pursuits
