And yep, it's a good way to keep track of your pairs. Some folks use them for hatchlings too, but mostly you see those posted separately, which probably is the reason the pond posts were harder to find. :)

@TheVillainsCat Ohhhhh I was actually just looking at the front page and wasn't sure if I would need an XXX dragon pair to start. If I could use some xxy or xyz pairs then this is right up my alley! I'm not sure if I make a new post to claim or if I edit my first one for example since I'm not super brushed up on Forum Etiquette anymore; I did wanna ask if the dragons I was thinking about using were okay! Would they work together as a pair for this thread? @Slimepack You can make a new post or edit the old one, it doesn't really matter! Whatever you're more comfortable with. You'd be welcomed to take my spiral! A couple things to keep in mind, (that I forgot to mention in my earlier post, sorry about that!) The guidelines recommend for your pairs to have completely all genes and be a different breed from their match! Coula, your tundra, has a pretty good range of colors with my spiral! (I found that out by typing the colors into this website: http://fr.fintastic.net/ It sounds like you know that, I just wanted to link and show it to make sure!) Taupe and Charcoal don't have [i]that [/i]wide a range of colors, but there's still plenty of potential for funky color combos here! [img]https://i.imgur.com/TLinhJo.png[/img] The tertiary gene is a little tricky though, because they both have thylacine. In the rules, it's generally encouraged to have each gene be conflicting for maximum chaos. If you want to use this pair still, I can help you get a non-thylacine tertiary gene scroll for cheap! It's also completely fine to just use this pair as is. It's just a game, and not following the rules perfectly is OK! You're still welcomed to have the spiral, I just wanted to tell you all that first before I sent her your way! As for your second pair, the color ranges are pretty good! Another rule is to have both dragons be different breeds. An Imperial/Imperial pair doesn't follow that specific rule, but you can still use the pair anyway. Your hatchlings will be delightfully goofy and/or unique regardless!

Aw beans, I didn't even realize they both had Thylacine. If you have advice on getting a different tertiary for one of them, I would greatly appreciate it. Also I didn't realize that site existed (I think mmaybe I did when I first started on FR but I forgot?), I was trying to go off the spreadsheet in the first post but got so into trying to finding a working color combo I didn't pay close enough attention to the other rules about them being different breeds.

Thank you! I did end up buying a smirch for a different dragon since I have a little pile of gems kicking around just from Familiar chests and such over the years. By the same virtue I also had enough to buy Underbelly for the spiral lady (Now lovingly named Amerant in homage to her parents)

Thank you very much for all of your help! I actually ended up learning a lot about FR today that I just never paid enough attention to learn over the years. (I didn't notice there was a search function on the lair page like... at all somehow? It's what I get for almost exclusively only playing FR to casually collect and awaken familiars)

Yeah, Flight Rising can be surprisingly complex! Between the game mechanics, dominance strategies and the billions of items there are... I didn't know there was a search bar on the lair page either! The more you know!
