TOPIC | WHAT are your JOBS??

I'm a teacher! I teach for a private, all-ages school. I lead a class of nine two-year olds, all on my own. It is exhausting. It is stressful. It is extremely rewarding. I have never felt a job where I feel loved when I walk in, until now. I am greeted every day with joyful shouts and hugs. I also get puked on, clean up every mess imaginable, and am legally responsible for the safety of my class - which can be stressful when all your students want to do is dance on tables or bite anything that moves. So yeah. Some days are great. Others, I drive home crying. I have really used this job though to build up on my own social skills, and it feels good to no longer have issues with being shy, public speaking, or debating a point. I am also so much stronger physically (I lift nine 35-55lb babies 4x a day to change them, not to mention I'm not allowed to sit while working) so despite the stressors of this job, I love who it has made me to be. |

i’m an accountant in municipal government finance! i get to do a lot of cool things for reporting and analyzing past performance & planning for the future. i’m at a small but very progressive municipality so it’s cool to be involved with less financial stuff too like sustainability/environmental reporting.

School is my job right now I suppose, I'm a bit too focused on college to get an actual job at the moment. However I actually do contract work as a blackjack dealer for my friend's family's party casino business!

I manage a store that rents retail space to local artists, and I'm a liason for all 90+ artists. My job is really cool, because I get to have great customer interactions and also meet and make friends with so many creative and interesting people! I'm also an artist that sells in our shop and online as well.
