The sun brushed through the trees, lingering on the newborn hatchling. Fur and claws as green as the vegetation around him, and yet his eyes glowed with an amber hue. fire burned in the back of the little one's throat as he coughed up his first bout of fire, the same flame burning deep in his eyes as his first word's set into the back of his mind. Adventure awaits. He wiggled free from the broken shards of his home, digging his claws into the fresh earth below him. It threw him off, causing a small squeak from the hatchling and he plopped into the grass below him. His bright, burning eyes looked up at the sun that seemed to smile down at him through the trees. Adventure awaits. A butterfly, covered in the toxic bright colors of a monarch rested upon his snout.
