Minecraft. The whole building thing sounds fun to me, but once I realize that the world is almost infinite and that I am the only player on the entire map, I get very uncomfortable and freaked out.
I'd love to try World of Warcraft as I had a lot of fun on a mobile clone years ago. But the subscription model really turns me off, especially since Blizzard isn't a company I want to support. Oh well. -__-

I'm echoing people who said A Hat in Time and Terraria. That and Stardew Valley. Just haven't gotten into any of them yet, but I honestly haven't tried too much.
Also I really need to play Soma! I hear it's great, it's in my Steam library, and I think I'll love it from what I've heard about it.

Also Skyrim, or any of the Elder Scrolls, actually. I've never gotten into those.

The newer Assassin's Creed games, specifically Odyssey and Valhalla.
I've had a lot of fun with the older ones like AC1, AC2, and AC3 but I play on a 6-7 year old laptop which would probably die a painful death if I attempted to play the newer games on it xD So those will have to wait until the day I either get a more powerful computer, or buy myself a tv + xbox/playstation

FNAF! I love animatronics, spooky stories, and (some) horror. I very strongly despise jumpscares. Especially the ones with the high-pitched screams, aka FNAF jumpscares. I am extremely jumpy and have hyper-sensitive ears, so I can't even watch playthroughs.

i would love to try out tf2 because i really enjoy the characters and a couple of my friends play it, but i'm not sure if my computer can run it and i'm afraid to see how experience long time players will try a newbie like me XD i'm perfectly content watching my friends and tf2 youtubers play it instead

I own Terraria and I'd love to actually get into it more, but I feel immediately overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff in the game.

same situation here! there's so much to do in the game X_X i love how it looks and i really like the bosses but i'm still trying to figure it out

Hey! I wanted to say that my bf recently got me to try tf2 for the first time and it's really not that bad to play as a newbie! I would recommend playing with friends though. It's more fun that way. Gameplay is really good and I play with controller which a lot of people don't like. Runs fine for me. You just need internet that won't lag.

Never gotten into the Elder scrolls but I have played skyrim, and while it's a meme to dunk on the game being a buggy mess, they actually provide a good out for it. They allow you to mod the game (even on console, I use a ps4 for it) so you can get the fanmade Skyrim unofficial patch, which fixes a lot of bugs. I've never downloaded that and I've had fun with the game with a handful of bugs (not nearly as much as it gets dunked on for actually). I really enjoy it and I enourace you to do the same, if you'd like to!
Also the multiple storylines (which are base game, and a few added dlc) and if you get the special edition (which I think is the only one you can get, has all dlc made for skyrim) the chances to make your own home is really nice!

I feel that with so many games myself. Fire Emblem: Three Houses (mainly the school part) and Stardew Valley in particular have been tough for me to dive into due to being overwhelmed by options, but I really want to try to actually get into them some day.

Oh boy, I have a lot.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Have watched countless videos since the game's launch.
The only problem; it's a rage game, and I can't handle the loss of something that well.
The Tainted characters seem nightmare-ish...
Ark: Survival Evolved
The same situation as TBOI, and I love dinosaurs to death.
However, the game itself seems like a grind- and waitfest.
Maybe mods can fix that, but I like my things vanilla at first.
Terraria
A lot to learn.
And my brain can't handle information at this age.
Stardew Valley
Same reason as Terraria.
VRChat
Ever since I've reached adulthood, hearing others online makes me irk.
I'm also micshy.
But God, this thing looks really fun.
Planet Coaster + Planet Zoo
DLC, and the base price.
Simple as that.
Zoo Tycoon 2
I would kill to play this, but alas...
It isn't on Steam.
(The "mmmm" remake is there, though)
Any horror game (bonus if it's psychological)
Jumpscares.
Jumpscares everywhere.
