Fallen Stars Journey Back
Hone my home, my land, my own
eyes dance rich upon the hill I died.
Love of courage, of divine balance
night so sewn my heart inside.
Over life I flew, passed time so dark
like the midnight sky but not at peace
was my home, I hoped to lightly land
and from the chains all held must release.
Over his crown and mantle, claws struck
and claimed my last breath with his victor song
I fell back home, with the precious heart
beside to beat, to it so pure and true I belong.
Honed the starlight, blessed moon
sought fit to clothe my hillside tomb
and drape my soul upon their backs
so I might again traverse the vast womb
Back to the place my home, poor land
so dear to me, I journeyed far for you
to set you free and see your green
once more, the time I always knew.
Eyes gleam like the cool of dark,
stray from you now to give heed to
and guide the lost traveler, weary
there is no more captivity, no need to
shut your eyes. To you, dreary
friend of mine, I will dance
to the song of fallen stars
for the night is yours and mine.
The blessed night is ours.
