Down below in the dark. There it is again a small spark in the depths. Strange its almost hypnotic how it sways and dances in the waves. You lean closer eyes glazing over as you strain to see it clearer. Its almost like its....attached to something...something. With a gasp you pull back, but it is to late, the arms reach out and embrace you. Dragging you down into the inky depths as the air leaves your lungs. Fathom after fathom passes as you are pulled deeper. As you lose consciousness you see its sickly grin illuminated by the alluring light that doomed you. The trees and stones that shaped each other twisted and bent with age. Daring you to break the long lived silence that has been here for years as you walk. Your breath catches as you round a corner, standing in the shadow of a behemoth. Yet it does not move despite your presence. Inching closer a quiet sigh of relief leaves you. It was merely a carved wood statue covered in years of plant growth. With a soft laugh you gather yourself and carry on with your mission, glancing back over your shoulder before leaving the intricate carving behind. Strange you could have sworn it was in a different pose mere seconds ago. ----- One of these years Ill remember to assign more familiars to the rest of my dragons.
