No kidding; I'm breeding for banana/maize/maize myself so I know what it's like. I have a couple pairs going on nest tomorrow, sanddollar is just out of their range but I may be able to throw you a one-off to put you at least a step closer if you want to breed for it, if you'd like?

A technique that's worked for me in the past is using the dragon search to identify dragons not in the AH. Many players are happy to sell a dragon to you if you approach politely and offer $$.
Once you've decided which players to approach, make a forum post in Find a Dragon. Ping the owners and list the dragons you want to buy. Here is an example of my last post. An interested seller responded and I had my dragon in 24hrs.
If you knew how to do all this and I'm coming off as insufferable know it all then I apologize. Best of luck on your projects!!

One thing you can try is grabbing dragons on opposite sides of the color wheel to see what comes out. This spiral's parents were algae and berry, and she and one of her sibs came out in the yellow/gold range!
