HAPPY 17TH MAY EVERYONE! It's now the Norwegian national day, and its the 200 years jubilee since the constitution :D More info about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Constitution_Day And here are some local videos with different ways of celebrating, you can find other videos from other places on the same site, but this video is from a dancing group called "Sæbyggjan" who dance traditional: http://www.nrk.no/sorlandet/bydde-bygda-opp-til-dans-1.11724808 Search for "17 mai" in the search bar if you want to see more :) Here's me celebrating in my "bunad", norwegian traditional dress. Mines more of a "homemade" dress with incomplete patterns and silver accessories. Here are different bunad's from different regions, and mine is SUPPOSED to look like number 7 :) And when is your national day? Do you have a traditional dress? How do you celebrate it?

It's also the International Anti-Homophobia/Transphobia day too, so a pretty important day in a few places! Cool stuff though, always interesting to see different cultures!

@funkyflump

Yes it is :D But I must say, I have never noticed any celebrations of it here in Norway though, maybe someone just holding the rainbow flag or something :)

And yes it's very cool with different cultures!

@tikulee I love your dress! It's awesome!

I wish we had a holiday here where I could wear pretty dresses.

Thank you :) my mother made it! It's more of a dress for festive use, and doesnt have all the silver or real patterns.
Saving up for the real thing, which costs about 25 000 NKR which is about 4213$
