Born under ill omens, he was seen as a harbinger of misfortune. What the clan did not realise was that the appearance of a Guardian was but a ruse, and when Ripfang could confirm that one of the clan's skydancers was in fact a witch taking advantage of the power of the Shade, he dropped his guise and emerged as the Gaoler he had always been. He is one of the Seekers, always on the lookout for creatures touched by the Shade. [/columns] [columns][center][font=Monotype Corsiva][size=6]Soyonzur[/size][/font] [size=2]The Swift Huntress She-Who-Walks-Among-Ancients[/size][/center] Soyonzur was one of the first dragons that came to her clan from a neighbouring allied clan of dragons. A mirror at the time, she swiftly rose to the rank of the Huntmaster. Somewhere in between she was turned into a pearlcatcher, though she loathed the very sight of her pearl due to not quite knowing how to deal with the urge of having to coat it with a new layer every once in a while. She was caught in the aftershock of Ripfang releasing his Guardian guise when he tried to apprehend the Shade Witch that had been revealed, and the residual energy transformed Soyonzur into one of the Ancients. She is still new in her role as a Seeker, but is already taking advantage of her skills as a hunter to aid Ripfang in his quest. A fae at the time, he sported vastly different colours than he does today. He changed from fae to coatl, and went through a myriad of colour variations before he finally settled on the silvery palette he has today. Despite having newly turned into a gaoler, he still acts as the clan's main messenger whenever letters of importance must be delivered to allying clans with haste. Oh boy! I love this new breed! And have since lost most of the funds I have been saving for lair expansions come Brightshine, oops. [emoji=gaoler sad size=1] [columns=2][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=52419793] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/524198/52419793_350.png[/img] [/url][nextcol]Raoulfr was one of two hatchlings found during a diplomacy mission, the Morning Rose Tribe having never seen the likes of him, before, and was utterly dumbfounded by what they found, and he later grew up to be quite the Gaoler. Raoulfr, while scary looking and a fierce shadehunter, is a much more gentle character, albeit a bit of a doormat, and is very open minded to his new surroundings, even deciding to become an honorary member of the tribe, but vowing to never forget his duty to the Icewarden. He is of the Sentry order and makes sure any troublemakers that have been rounded up are kept in check, but is still a lot more lenient than the average Gaoler, likely due to him being raised by Light dragons, and firmly believes in second chances, and will even let prisoners go if they behave good enough and genuinely seem repentant, much to the fury of Edda.[/columns] [columns=2][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=52410182] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/524102/52410182_350.png[/img] [/url][nextcol]Edda was the second hatchling found on that diplomacy mission, and out of the two is definitely the more assertive one. She takes her duties to the Icewarden very seriously and had always dreamed of being a Sentinel, but since her adoption has reluctantly settled for being a Seeker. She and Raoulfr had been childhood friends, but she feels he has become soft, lax in his mission to their patron, and has a complicated love-hate relationship with him (though he simply still loves her). She doesn't consider herself a member of the tribe and tries to say that she couldn't care less for these squishy-hearted children of the Lightweaver, but deep deep deep deep deeeeeep down, she likes them a lot and also feels indebted to them for raising her so lovingly. She's also one of the most talented hunters in the clan and a ferocious fighter to boot, an invaluable asset to the tribe for sure.[/columns] [columns=2][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=52389398] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/523894/52389398_350.png[/img] [/url][nextcol]Originally an Imperial, Leon was a Lightning dragon stationed to siphon magical energy from the Southern Icefields, only to try and evict the wrong dragon as he ran into a Gaoler enchantress who, in order to teach him a lesson (even if he stated he was just doing his job) and to see things from the perspective of the children of ice, turned him into a Gaoler as well. After living among the Ice dragons and seeing their pain, he's grown confused as to who he really is, and has traveled to the Sunbeam Ruins for a fresh start. He is a gentleman through and through, but struggles with the instinctual tendencies his new form has brought him, and feels awful for any violence inflicted on those he brings in. He often scares others due to his appearance, which is twice as frightening as the average Gaoler (part of the curse he guesses), and he feels bad about it, though he's really quite sweet when you get to know him. He's also quite the artist, something he's been practicing since his time in the Shifting Expanse, and parts of his soul really show in his drawings. He works alongside Edda as a Seeker, and while they make a good team, they don't get along otherwise, as he's too soft for her liking and she's too brusque for his (though he tries to be kind to her, anyway)[/columns]
