My friend hatched an XXY G1. Forest/Forest/Vermilion with water eyes, male.
Doesn't sound desirable... but these are some scries.

What do you think he could go for? Both in terms of auction starting bid, autobuy, and potential highest price.

The eyes not matching is unfortunate, but I think those colors could be really appealing to people with Plague aesthetics.
You can
look at other auctions to get an idea. Here are some recent similar auctions I found:
Cerulean/Wine (Already a popular color combo though.)
Swamp/Caribbean
Strawberry/Green (Has matching eyes though)
Orange/Caribbean
I don't think the price for him would climb as high as some of those, but the only real way to find out is to actually have the auction and let people decide.
I'd keep the starting bid low to encourage people to jump in - a lot of bidless auctions I see have really high starting bids that are kind of intimidating. You also don't have to have an autobuy if you aren't certain what would be a good price.
