One of my dragons that I bought from the AH is only a week old and I bought him as a baby, this is the first time I've battled him and he already has Scratch and Shred. Is there any way for battle stones to pass down from the parents? Thanks in advance!

All dragons start with only scratch and shred or meditate and contuse. It's based on breed as to which they get.
You can't get dragons with zero battle stones.
