Flight Rising Discussion

So I have decided to start a hatchery. I am going to do a variety of dragons. Since I am only just starting I only intend to have one, or maybe two pairs. One of the pairs I have is two XXX obsidian nocturnes. I want to know what genes you think I should give them

@OldmanRobustin :D That's up to you but if you're hoping to make a profit we wouldn't recommend spending any money on genes. Triple obsidian is one of the most common colour combos and babies most likely won't sell for more than fodder price (7kish) no matter what genes you give them.
The only exception is brand new genes but even they drop in price quickly.

@OldmanRobustin I wouldn't do triples, period, unless you have a unique gene combination for them (in other words: no Petals/Butterfly/Glimmer because 32423823888329929839834283892399 XXX dragons have them and I've exalted a heck ton of them bought at fodder price), or they're a color you don't see very often (like Murk.. . which is also a color a lot of people don't like I kinda do). I love Obsidian A LOT (I wish I'd made my custom progen a double Obsidian -.-), but unfortunately it's one of the most popular colors out there and also means it's being overbred.

In general there's a lot of hatcheries on FR and you have a lot of competition, my suggestion (as someone who owns a hatchery and does decently) is to offer something unique - interesting color combos and genes. Of course this is entirely up to you and your aesthetic.
